2020 Florida Democratic Presidential Primary
The 2020 Florida Democratic presidential primary took place on March 17, 2020, the third primary Tuesday of the month, as one of three states voting on the same day in the Democratic Party primaries for the 2020 presidential election, while the contest in Ohio had been postponed for roughly a month. The Florida primary was a closed primary, with the state awarding the fourth-largest amount of delegates towards the 2020 Democratic National Convention and the third-largest amount up to that point: 249 delegates, of which 219 were pledged delegates allocated on the basis of the results of the primary. Former vice president Joe Biden was the clear winner of the Florida primary, receiving almost 62% of the vote and 162 delegates, winning every county in the state and significantly extending his delegate lead. 2020 Arizona Democratic Presidential Primary
The 2020 Arizona Democratic presidential primary took place on March 17, 2020, the third primary Tuesday of the month, as one of three contests on the same day in the Democratic Party primaries for the 2020 presidential election, while the contest in Ohio had been postponed for roughly a month. The closed primary allocated 80 delegates towards the 2020 Democratic National Convention, of which 67 were pledged delegates allocated according to the results of the primary. Three major candidates ran in the primary, including former vice president Joe Biden, senator Bernie Sanders from Vermont, and representative Tulsi Gabbard from Hawaii's 2nd district. 12 other candidates who withdrew prior to the contest were also on the ballot, along with three minor candidates. Florida's 20th congressional district is a U.S. congressional district in Southeast Florida. It is currently held by Democrat Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick, who was elected in a January 2022 special election, following the death of Alcee Hastings on April 6, 2021. With a Cook Partisan Voting Index (CPVI) rating of D+25, it is one of the most Democratic districts in Florida. Washington's 7th Congressional District
Washington's 7th congressional district encompasses most of Seattle and Burien, and all of Vashon Island, Lake Forest Park, Edmonds, Shoreline, and Normandy Park. Florida's 24th congressional district is an electoral district for the U.S. Congress, located in southeast Florida. It was redrawn after the 2020 U.S. census. This district includes parts of Miami north of Florida State Road 112, including Little Haiti, as well as Brownsville, Biscayne Park, North Miami, Miami Gardens, and Opa Locka, along with the southern Broward County communities of Pembroke Park, West Park, and parts of Miramar. Washington's 6th congressional district encompasses the Olympic Peninsula, most of the Kitsap Peninsula, and most of the city of Tacoma. Washington's 5th Congressional District
Washington's 5th congressional district encompasses the Eastern Washington counties of Ferry, Stevens, Pend Oreille, Lincoln, Spokane, Whitman, Walla Walla, Columbia, Garfield, and Asotin, along with parts of Adams and Franklin. Washington's 4th Congressional District
Washington's 4th congressional district encompasses a large area of central Washington, covering the counties of Douglas, Okanogan, Grant, Yakima, Franklin, Benton, and Adams, and part of Walla Walla County. The district is dominated by the Yakima and Tri-Cities areas. The fourth district is predominantly rural, and is considerably more conservative than the western part of the state. Its Republican dominance is long-established: no Democratic presidential candidate has carried any county in the district since Bill Clinton in 1992 carried Okanogan County.
