2020 Duke Blue Devils Women's Soccer Team
The 2020 Duke Blue Devils women's soccer team represented Duke University during the 2020 NCAA Division I women's soccer season. The Blue Devils were led by head coach Robbie Church, in his twentieth season. They played home games at Koskinen Stadium. This was the team's 33rd season playing organized women's college soccer and their 33rd playing in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ACC played a reduced schedule in 2020 and the NCAA Tournament was postponed to 2021. The ACC did not play a spring league schedule, but did allow teams to play non-conference games that would count toward their 2020 record in the lead up to the NCAA Tournament. The Blue Devils finished the fall season 7–4–2, 4–2–2 in ACC play to finish in sixth place. Theresa Stephanie Boade (born February 3, 1999) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder for North Carolina Courage of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), She played college soccer for the Duke Blue Devils, and also trained with the US U-19 and U-18 Women's national team. Early life Boade was born in Dallas, Texas before moving to Golden, Colorado where she grew up. For high school she attended Valor Christian where she competed in basketball, soccer and track. Club career Boade signed a two year contract with the Courage on March 18, 2022. The Newton Campus Soccer Field is the on-campus soccer and lacrosse stadium at Boston College in Newton, Massachusetts. The 1,800 person capacity stadium was built in 1999. The current tenants are the Boston College Eagles men's soccer, Boston College Eagles men's & Boston College Eagles women's soccer, women's soccer teams and Boston College Eagles women's lacrosse.
