2019–20 Syracuse Orange Men's Basketball Team
The 2019–20 Syracuse Orange men's basketball team represented Syracuse University during the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Orange were led by 44th-year head coach Jim Boeheim and played their home games at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, New York as seventh-year members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Orange finished the season 18–14, and 10–10 in ACC play. The team was scheduled to play Louisville in the quarterfinals of the ACC tournament before the tournament was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The NCAA tournament and NIT were also cancelled due to the pandemic. Previous season The Orange finished the 2018–19 season 20–14, 10–8 in ACC play to finish in a tie for sixth place. Jim Boeheim
James Arthur Boeheim Jr. ( ; born November 17, 1944) is an American college basketball coach who is the head coach of the Syracuse Orange men's team of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Boeheim has guided the Orange to ten Big East Conference regular season championships, five Big East tournament championships, and 34 NCAA tournament appearances, including five Final Four appearances and three appearances in the national title game. In those games, the Orangemen lost to Indiana in 1987 on a last-second jump shot by Keith Smart, and to Kentucky in 1996, before defeating Kansas in 2003 with All-American Carmelo Anthony. Boeheim is currently the winningest active head coach in Division I Men's Basketball. 2019 ACC Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2019 ACC men's basketball tournament was the 66th annual postseason men's basketball tournament for the Atlantic Coast Conference, held March 12–16, 2019 at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Virginia Cavaliers and North Carolina Tar Heels entered the tournament as the top two seeds, both with 16–2 conference, and ranked #2 and #3 in the country respectively. Both teams were defeated in the semifinals, by the #4 Florida State Seminoles (ranked #12 nationally) and the #3 Duke Blue Devils (ranked #5 nationally). Duke defeated Florida State, 73–63, in the championship game, claiming their 21st ACC Tournament title and 15th during head coach Mike Krzyzewski's tenure. Wallingford, Connecticut
Wallingford is a town in New Haven County, Connecticut, United States, centrally located between New Haven and Hartford, and Boston and New York City. The population was 44,396 at the 2020 census. Oshae Jahve Brissett (born June 20, 1998) is a Canadian professional basketball player for the Indiana Pacers of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
