2019–20 Southeast Missouri State Redhawks Men's Basketball Team
The 2019–20 Southeast Missouri State Redhawks men's basketball team represented Southeast Missouri State University in the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Redhawks, led by fifth-year head coach Rick Ray, played their home games at the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri as members of the Ohio Valley Conference. They finished the season 7–24, 3–15 in OVC play to finish in last place. They failed to qualify for the OVC tournament. On March 3, head coach Rick Ray was fired. He finished at Southeast Missouri State with a five-year record of 51–104. Rick Ray (basketball)
Rick Ray (born May 8, 1970) is an American basketball coach. He was most recently the head basketball coach at Southeast Missouri State. He was previously the head coach at Mississippi State. Ray was born in Compton, California; however, his family moved to Kansas City when Ray was 6 years old. He is an All-American Scholar Athlete basketball player who played at Grand View College, where he majored in Applied Mathematics and Secondary Education. After graduation, Ray worked as an actuary in Chicago, but soon realized that he wanted to be a basketball coach. He quit his actuary job and became a coach and teacher at a high school in Des Moines, Iowa. After years, he left to become a graduate assistant coach at Nebraska-Omaha. While at Nebraska-Omaha, he also earned a master's degree in Sports Administration. Missouri State University

Grand View University
Grand View University is a private liberal arts university in Des Moines, Iowa. Founded in 1896 and affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the university enrolls approximately 2,000 students and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. History Grand View College and Seminary was started in 1896 by members of the Danish Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. In 1912, Grand View opened a high school academy department. The village of Bolingbrook is a southwest suburb of Chicago in Will and DuPage counties in the U.S. state of Illinois. Per the 2020 census, the population was 73,922.
