2019–20 Real Sociedad Season
The 2019–20 season was Real Sociedad's 73rd season (and the 10th consecutive) in La Liga, the top flight of Spanish football. In addition to the domestic league, Real Sociedad participates in this season's edition of the Copa del Rey. The season was slated to cover a period from 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2020. It was extended extraordinarily beyond 30 June due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Spain. Real Sociedad de Fútbol, S.A.D., more commonly referred to as Real Sociedad (; ''Royal Society''), La Real in Spanish, Erreala in Basque, is a Spanish professional sports club in the city of San Sebastián, Basque Country, founded on 7 September 1909. It plays its home matches at the Anoeta Stadium. Real Sociedad won the Liga title in 1980–81 and 1981–82, and finished runner-up in 1979–80, 1987–88, and 2002–03. The COVID-19 pandemic in Spain has resulted in confirmed cases of COVID-19 and deaths. Miguel Ángel Moyá Rumbo (; born 2 April 1984) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper. Aihen Muñoz Capellán (born 16 August 1997) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for Real Sociedad. Mainly a left-back, he can also play as a left winger.
