2019–20 Ohio Bobcats Women's Basketball Team
The 2019–20 Ohio Bobcats women's basketball team represented Ohio University during the 2019–20 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Bobcats, led by seventh year head coach Bob Boldon, played its home games at the Convocation Center in Athens, Ohio as a member of the Mid-American Conference. They finished the season 19–11, 11–7 in MAC play. They advanced to the semi-final game of the MAC women's tournament before the tournament was cancelled due to the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Bob Boldon
Robert John Boldon (born May 1, 1975) is an American women's basketball coach and former basketball player. He is the current head women's basketball coach at Ohio University. He previously held the same position at Youngstown State University, Lambuth, and Arkansas-Monticello Playing career Boldon started at point guard for four years and led Walsh to the NAIA Final Four in 1995–96. As a freshman, Boldon averaged 8.2 points and accumulated 163 assists. Over the next three years, Boldon was named First Team All-Mid-Ohio Conference each season, accumulating 204 assists and an average of 12.7 points as a sophomore, 222 assists and an average of 14.5 points as a junior, and 186 assists and an average of 14.3 points as a senior. Cary-Grove High School
Cary-Grove High School is a high school in Cary, Illinois, a northwest suburb of Chicago, USA; it is part of Community High School District 155. In 1995, it was the subject of much media attention after the Fox River Grove level crossing accident that killed seven students. In 2006, on the anniversary of the accident, another Cary-Grove student, Justin Glassmyer, was killed at the same crossing. Cary is a village located in Algonquin Township, McHenry County, Illinois, and Cuba Township, Lake County, Illinois, United States. Per the 2020 census, the population was 17,826. Founding In 1841, William Dennison Cary purchased for $1.25 an acre at the location of the current town and built a farm. Thurgood Marshall High School is a public high school in Dayton, Ohio. The school is named for the late African American pioneering civil rights attorney and Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall. The school was established in 2007. About Thurgood Marshall High School was formed in 2007 after the merger of Colonel White High School and Nettie Lee Roth Middle School. Roth had previously been a high school until it was converted to a middle school in 1982. Thurgood Marshall was built on the former site of Roth and decided to use Colonel White's nickname of the "Cougars." Nancy Lieberman Award
The Nancy Lieberman Award, named for Basketball Hall of Fame legend Nancy Lieberman, was given annually by the Rotary Club of Detroit in the Award's first 14 years to the nation's top collegiate point guard in women's Division I basketball. Sue Bird won the inaugural award in 2000, making her the first of only two players to have won three Lieberman Awards. Cece Hooks
Cierra “Cece” Hooks (born May 30, 1999) is an American basketball player who is currently a free agent. She played college basketball with the Ohio Bobcats of the Mid-American Conference (MAC). High school career Hooks grew up in Dayton, Ohio, where she attended and played basketball at Thurgood Marshall High School. During her sophomore year she was considered a likely top 30 recruit but missed much of the year with a torn meniscus. She worked her way back to average 17 points, 12 rebounds and five assists per game her senior year. She also played AAU basketball for All Ohio Black. 2019–20 Buffalo Bulls Women's Basketball Team
The 2019–20 Buffalo Bulls women's basketball team represented the University at Buffalo during the 2019–20 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Bulls, led by eight-year head coach Felisha Legette-Jack, played their home games at Alumni Arena as members of the East Division of the Mid-American Conference.
