2019–20 Kilmarnock F.C. Season
The 2019–20 season was Kilmarnock's seventh season in the Premiership, and their 27th consecutive season in the top flight of Scottish football. Kilmarnock also competed in UEFA competition for the first time in 18 years after finishing in third the previous season. Overview ''Killie'' began the season managed by Angelo Alessio who joined the club on 16 June 2019 after former manager Steve Clarke was signed by the Scotland national football team. On 28 June 2019, the club travelled to Spain for a pre-season training camp in Marbella as they prepared for their upcoming 2019–20 UEFA Europa League qualifiers. The draw for the first qualifying round was held on 18 June 2019 with Kilmarnock drawn to face Welsh side Connah's Quay Nomads. The first leg was played in Wales on 11 July 2019 before Kilmarnock hosted the second leg on 18 July 2019. Kilmarnock (, sco, Kilmaurnock; gd, Cill Mheàrnaig (IPA: ʰʲɪʎˈveaːɾnəkʲ, "Marnock's church") is a large town and former burgh in East Ayrshire, Scotland and is the administrative centre of East Ayrshire Council. The Scottish League Cup (also known as the Viaplay Cup for sponsorship reasons) is a football competition open to all Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) clubs. First held in 1946–47, it is the oldest national League Cup in existence. The competition had a straight knockout format but became a group and knockout competition from 2016–17. The Racecourse Ground ( cy, Y Cae Ras) is a football stadium in Wrexham, Wales. It is the home of Wrexham A.F.C. It is the world's oldest international football stadium that still hosts international matches, having hosted Wales' first home international match in 1877, and has hosted more Wales international matches than any other ground. The record attendance at the ground was set in 1957, when Wrexham hosted a match against Manchester United in front of 34,445 spectators. Belle Vue (Rhyl)
Belle Vue is a multi-purpose stadium in Rhyl, Wales. It is used mostly for football matches, and is the home ground of C.P.D. Y Rhyl 1879 . The stadium holds 3,000 people, with a seating capacity of 1,720. The stadium has occasionally hosted youth-level international football matches, including an under-16s match between Wales and Scotland. Rhyl (; cy, Y Rhyl, ) is a seaside town and community in Denbighshire, Wales. The town lies within the historic boundaries of Flintshire, on the north-east coast of Wales at the mouth of the River Clwyd ( Welsh: ''Afon Clwyd''). To the west is Kinmel Bay and Towyn, to the east Prestatyn, and to the southeast Rhuddlan and St Asaph. At the 2011 Census, Rhyl had a population of 25,149, with Rhyl–Kinmel Bay having 31,229. Deeside Stadium
Deeside Stadium ( cy, Stadiwm Glannau Dyfrdwy) is a multi-sport stadium located in Connah's Quay, Deeside. It is the home stadium to Welsh Premier League side Connah's Quay Nomads F.C., Connah's Quay Nomads as well as Deeside Athletics Club. History The stadium was opened in 1998 and became home to Connah's Quay who moved from their previous venue, the Halfway Ground. In 2006, the Nomads spent time playing at Flint Town United F.C., Flint Town's Cae-Y-Castell ground as the pitch at Deeside underwent renovations.
