2019–20 Baylor Bears Basketball Team
The 2019–20 Baylor Bears basketball team were represented by Baylor University in the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Bears were led by 17th-year head coach Scott Drew and played their games at the Ferrell Center in Waco, Texas as members of the Big 12 Conference. Previous season The Bears finished the 2018–19 season 20–14 overall and 10–8 in Big 12 play, finishing in fourth place. As the No. 4 seed in the Big 12 tournament, they were defeated by Iowa State in the quarterfinals. Scott Drew
Scott Homer Drew (born October 23, 1970) is an American college basketball coach who is the head coach of the Baylor Bears, a position he has held since 2003. Drew began his coaching career as an assistant for Valparaiso under his father Homer Drew. Following his father's retirement in 2002, Drew would serve as the head coach of Valparaiso for one season before being hired by Baylor in 2003. Drew took over Baylor as a program in ruins, following decades of poor performance and a public scandal that resulted in numerous NCAA sanctions. Following an unsuccessful first 4 seasons while rebuilding the team, Drew turned Baylor from a program with only one NCAA tournament appearance since 1950 into a perennial tournament contender appearing in 10 of 13 tournaments since 2008. 2018–19 Gonzaga Bulldogs Men's Basketball Team
The 2018–19 Gonzaga Bulldogs men's basketball team (also informally referred to as the Zags) represented Gonzaga University, located in Spokane, Washington. in the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team was led by head coach Mark Few, in his 20th season as head coach. This was the Bulldogs' 15th season at the on-campus McCarthey Athletic Center and 39th season as a member of the West Coast Conference. They finished the season 33-4, 16-0 to finish in 1st place. Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua
Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua (born 21 April 1999) is a Cameroonian college basketball player for the Baylor Bears of the Big 12 Conference. He previously played for the UNLV Runnin' Rebels. Early life and career Tchatchoua grew up playing association football before switching to basketball at age 16. In 2015, he took part in a local camp held by Luc Mbah a Moute and was later invited to a Basketball Without Borders camp in Johannesburg. Two years later, Tchatchoua joined the NBA Global Academy in Australia, where he began learning English. Adam Michael Flagler (born December 1, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for the Oklahoma City Thunder of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
