2019–20 Adelaide United FC Season
The 2019–20 Adelaide United FC season was the club's 16th season since its establishment in 2003. The club participated in the A-League for the 14th time and participated in the FFA Cup for 6th time, winning the 2019 FFA Cup tournament. On 24 March 2020, the FFA announced that the 2019–20 A-League season would be postponed until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Australia and New Zealand, and subsequently extended indefinitely. The season resumed on 17 July 2020. Adelaide United Football Club is a professional soccer club based in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. The club participates in the A-League Men under licence from Australian Professional Leagues (APL). The club was founded in 2003 to fill the place vacated by Adelaide City and West Adelaide in the former National Soccer League (NSL), and is now the sole team from the state of South Australia in the A-League. Adelaide United's home ground is Coopers Stadium, formally Hindmarsh Stadium. Adelaide United holds the record for the largest win in an A-League game. 2019 A-League Grand Final
The 2019 A-League Grand Final was the fourteenth A-League Grand Final, the championship-deciding match of the A-League in Australia and the culmination of the 2018–19 season. It was played on the 19 May 2019 at Optus Stadium in Perth between Perth Glory and Sydney FC, who finished the regular season first and second respectively. This was the first A-League grand final hosted in Perth and it is the highest attended grand final in A-League history. Sydney participated in their fifth grand final, winning three of the previous four played prior to this match. Lachlan Ricky Brook (born 8 February 2001) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a winger for club Crewe Alexandra, on loan from club Brentford. He is a product of the Adelaide United youth system and made his professional debut for the club in 2017. Brook has been capped by Australia at youth level. Vince Lia
Vince Lia (born 18 March 1985) is an Australian professional football (soccer) player who plays for Altona Magic in the National Premier Leagues Victoria. Born in Shepparton, Lia played youth football in Victoria before making his senior debut with South Melbourne in the National Soccer League. He spent one season with Fawkner-Whittlesea Blues in 2005 before joining Melbourne Victory in 2005 to play in the newly-formed A-League. Isaías Sánchez Cortés (; born 9 February 1987), known simply as Isaías, is a professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for Australian club Adelaide United. Scott Robert Galloway (born 25 April 1995) is an Australian professional football (soccer) player who plays as a fullback for Melbourne City in the A-League. Papa Babacar "Baba" Diawara (born 5 January 1988) is a Senegalese professional footballer who plays as a striker.
