2019–20 AFC Bournemouth Season
The 2019–20 AFC Bournemouth season was the club's fifth consecutive season in the top flight of English football and their 130th year in existence. This season, Bournemouth participated in the Premier League and also participated in the EFL Cup and the FA Cup. The season covered the period from 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2020, which was extended to 26 July 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Bournemouth were relegated to the EFL Championship after five years in the Premier League on the final day of the season as they finished just one point from safety in 18th, with their relegation followed by the exit of manager Eddie Howe after eight years in charge five days after the season concluded. AFC Bournemouth
AFC Bournemouth () is a professional association football club based in Kings Park, Boscombe, a suburb of Bournemouth, Dorset, England. The club competes in the Premier League, the highest division of English club football. Formed in 1899 as Boscombe, the club adopted their current name in 1971. Nicknamed "The Cherries", Bournemouth have played their home games at Dean Court since 1910. Their home colours are red and black striped shirts, with black shorts and socks, inspired by that of Italian club A.C. Milan. The club competed in regional football leagues before going up from the Hampshire League to the Southern League in 1920. Artur Boruc
Artur Boruc (; born 20 February 1980) is a Polish former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He began his career in the Polish third division with hometown club Pogoń Siedlce. He joined Ekstraklasa team Legia Warsaw in 1999 and, whilst still a reserve, had a spell on loan at Dolcan Ząbki in 2000. Boruc broke through to the Legia first team in 2002 and by 2003 had become the club's first choice goalkeeper. In the summer of 2005, he joined Scottish Premier League side Celtic. Aaron Christopher Ramsdale (born 14 May 1998) is an English professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for club Arsenal and the England national team. Charles John Daniels (born 7 September 1986) is an English former professional footballer who played as a defender. Starting his career at Tottenham Hotspur, he experienced a number of loans before joining Leyton Orient. Jordon Ashley Femi Ibe ( ; born 8 December 1995) is an English professional footballer who plays as a winger. Jefferson Andrés Lerma Solís (born 25 October 1994) is a Colombian professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for club AFC Bournemouth and the Colombia national team.
