2019 World Rowing Championships – PR1 Women's Single Sculls
The PR1 women's single sculls competition at the 2019 World Rowing Championships took place at the Linz-Ottensheim regatta venue. A top-seven finish ensured qualification for the Tokyo Paralympics. Schedule The schedule was as follows: All times are Central European Summer Time (UTC+2) Results Heats The three fastest boats in each heat advanced directly to the A/B semifinals. The remaining boats were sent to the repechage. Heat 1 Heat 2 Heat 3 Repechage The three fastest boats advanced to the A/B semifinals. The remaining boats were sent to the C final. Semifinals The three fastest boats in each semi advanced to the A final. The remaining boats were sent to the B final. Ottensheim
Ottensheim is a municipality in the district of Urfahr-Umgebung in the Austrian state of Upper Austria. In July 2008 it hosted the World Rowing Championships, and it did so again in 2019. History First settlements in this area date from about 4000 BC. The first mention of the settlement in a document dates from 1148 AD. In 1228 AD, Ottensheim received the market right – as third town in Upper Austria, after Linz (1210) and Enns (city), Enns (1212). In 1527, the Habsburg-Monarch Ferdinand I, Holy Roman Emperor, Ferdinand I endowed the town and the castle to his chancellor Niklas Rabenhaupt von Suche, who expanded the castle. The coat of arms of Ottensheim dates from this time. Ottensheim has existed as a municipality since 1848. At this time and until 1893 the now self-contended municipality Puchenau also belonged to Ottensheim. In 1871 the first ferry over the Danube was installed. Liudmila Vauchok
Liudmila Vauchok ( be, Людмілa Ваўчок, russian: Людмила Волчек, born 19 June 1981) is Belarusian Paralympian. She competed at the 2008 Summer Paralympics, winning a silver medal, and at the 2012 Summer Paralympics, winning a bronze medal. She qualified for the 2020 Summer Paralympics. Career She had excelled in athletics and she had won the Belarusian national titles in runs between 1500 and 5000 meters distances before she injured her spine in 2001 and was forced to use a wheelchair. She stayed involved in sports after her injury winning podium finishes in national competitions in armwrestling, athletics and dance. She dominated especially in cross-country skiing. Vauchok participated in the 2006 Winter Paralympics in Turin winning 10-kilometer skiing race and adding three bronzes.
