2019 Tampa Bay Lightning–Columbus Blue Jackets Playoff Series
The 2019 Stanley Cup Eastern Conference First Round series between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Columbus Blue Jackets was a playoff series in the National Hockey League's (NHL) 2018–19 season. The series began on April 10, 2019 and ended on April 16. The 2018–19 NHL season saw the Tampa Bay Lightning tie the 1995–96 Detroit Red Wings for the most regular season wins in NHL history. The Columbus Blue Jackets came into the series as the eighth seed, finishing with 98 points and qualifying for the playoffs in their second to last game. Jody Shelley (born February 7, 1976) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey left winger. During his National Hockey League (NHL) career he played for the Columbus Blue Jackets, San Jose Sharks, New York Rangers and the Philadelphia Flyers. Jeff Rimer
Jeff Rimer (born July 18, 1951) is a Canadian-born American broadcaster who serves the television play-by-play announcer for the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League. Rimer began his broadcasting career in Calgary with Cable 10 and CFAC Radio. While at CFAC, he served as the play-by-play man for the Calgary Centennials of the Western Hockey League. After a stint in Lethbridge, Rimer worked for CBC Television in Edmonton under veteran sportscaster Ernie Afaganis. He then worked for CFCF Radio, where he was the pre- and post-game show host for the Montreal Canadiens. He was also CBC's gymnastics commentator during the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal.
