The women's strike, known as ''Frauenstreik'' (German) and ''Grève des Femmes'' (French) online, consisted of demonstrations in the country's major municipalities for equal pay, recognition of unpaid care work, laws protecting women from harassment sexually and physically, and governmental representation.
