2019 Supertaça Cândido De Oliveira
The 2019 Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira was the 41st edition of the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira. It was played between the champions of the 2018–19 Primeira Liga, S.L. Benfica, Benfica, and the winners of the 2018–19 Taça de Portugal, Derby de Lisboa, crosstown rivals Sporting CP, on 4 August 2019. Benfica won the match 5–0 and thus secured their eighth title overall. Venue Estádio Algarve was announced as the venue for the 2019 edition of the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira on 28 May 2019, following the decision of the Portuguese Football Federation Directive Board, four years after hosting the same clubs in a 2015 Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira, final that ended in a 1–0 win to Sporting CP. After three consecutive years at the Estádio Municipal de Aveiro, the competition returns to the stadium owned by the municipalities of Faro, Portugal, Faro and Loulé. The Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira (; English: Cândido de Oliveira Super Cup, or simply Portuguese Super Cup) is an annual Portuguese football match played since 1979 between the winners of the Portuguese League (Primeira Liga) and Portuguese Cup (Taça de Portugal). When a team wins both competitions (thus achieving the double (''dobradinha'')), it plays again against the Cup runners-up. The Supertaça has been organised by the Portuguese Football Federation since 1981 and is usually played in August, right before the start of the league season. Adel Taarabt ( ar, عادل تاعرابت; born 24 May 1989) is a Moroccan professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or winger for Emirati club Al-Nasr and the Morocco national team.
