2019 Sochi FIA Formula 2 Round
The 2019 Sochi FIA Formula 2 round was a pair of motor races held on 28 and 29 September 2019 at the Sochi Autodrom in Sochi, Russia as part of the FIA Formula 2 Championship. It was the tenth and penultimate round of the 2019 FIA Formula 2 Championship and was run in support of the 2019 Russian Grand Prix. ART Grand Prix driver Nyck de Vries won the feature race; in doing so, he mathematically clinched the drivers' championship with three races remaining. De Vries is also the first non-rookie driver to win the championship in the modern Formula 2 era. Sochi Autodrom
The Sochi Autodrom (russian: Сочи Автодром, Sochi Avtodrom), previously known as the Sochi International Street Circuit and the Sochi Olympic Park Circuit, is a permanent race track in the settlement of Sirius (urban-type settlement), Sirius next to the Black Sea resort town of Sochi in Krasnodar Krai, Russia. The circuit runs around a former Olympic complex, the Sochi Olympic Park site, scene of the 2014 Winter Olympic Games. The TCR International Series raced at Sochi in 2015 and 2016, with the TCR Russian Series and SMP F4 Championship as support series. Zhou Guanyu (, pronounced ; born 30 May 1999) is a Chinese racing driver who currently competes in Formula One for Alfa Romeo. He is the first Chinese driver to compete in Formula One. Campos Racing is a Spanish motor racing team, founded by former Formula One driver Adrián Campos. The team has been successful in Formula Three and the GP2 Series.
