Ondo State ( yo, Ìpínlẹ̀ Oǹdó) is a state in southwestern Nigeria. It was created on 3 February 1976 from the former Western State. Patrick Ayo Akinyelure is a Nigerian banker who was elected to the Nigerian Senate for the Ondo Central district in Ondo State in the 9 April 2011 elections running on the Labour Party ticket (he was subsequently re-elected to the same position). Professor Robert Ajayi Boroffice (born 23 April 1949) is a public servant who was elected Senator for Ondo North, in Ondo State, Nigeria on 9 April 2011.
