The 2019 NCAA Division I women's soccer season was the 38th season of National Collegiate Athletic Association, NCAA championship women's college soccer. Preseason Coaching changes New stadiums opening New programs The Merrimack Warriors began the transition from Division II to Division I and joined the Northeast Conference. Long Island University announced in October 2018 that its two then-current athletic programs—the Division I LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds and the NCAA Division II, Division II LIU Post Pioneers—would merge into a single Division I athletic program under the LIU name after the 2018–19 school year. The unified program, which maintains LIU Brooklyn's Division I and Northeast Conference memberships, announced its new nickname of LIU Sharks, Sharks on May 15, 2019. Catarina Cantanhede Melônio Macário (born October 4, 1999) is a Brazilian-born American professional Association football, soccer player who plays as a midfielder for Olympique Lyonnais Féminin, Lyon in the French Division 1 Féminine. Wojciech "Wojtek" Krakowiak (, born August 6, 1976) is a retired American football (soccer) midfielder who was the head coach of the Montana State University Billings women's soccer team. He played professionally in Major League Soccer. He was the second assistant coach at University of Wisconsin - Green Bay for the women’s soccer team but was released of his duties in 2019. The Northern Arizona Lumberjacks are the varsity athletic teams representing Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona in intercollegiate athletics. The school's mascot was adopted in 1946. The Nicholls Colonels women's soccer team represents Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana, Thibodaux, Louisiana, United States. The school's team currently competes in the Southland Conference, which is part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I (NCAA), Division I. Brian Gordon Lee (born May 14, 1971 in Cheltenham, England) is the head coach of the Rice Owls women's soccer team. Coaching career Furman Lee was head coach for 11 seasons at Furman University, Furman, where he accumulated a 144–80–10 overall record, including a 76–16–3 mark in the Southern Conference.
