2019 Maryland Terrapins Men's Soccer Team
The 2019 Maryland Terrapins men's soccer team represented the University of Maryland, College Park during the 2019 NCAA Division I men's soccer season. It was the 74th season of the university fielding a program. The Terrapins were led by 27th year head coach, Sasho Cirovski. Background The Maryland Terrapins entered the 2019 season as the 2018 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship Game, defending national champions, winning their 2008 Maryland Terrapins men's soccer team, first national title since 2008, their fourth NCAA National title, and their fifth claimed national title. During the regular season, the Terrapins posted a relatively poor record of 7–6–3 overall, and 4–4 in Big Ten play. Sasho Cirovski
Sasho Cirovski (born 14 October 1962) is a Macedonian-Canadian soccer coach of the University of Maryland. Born in Macedonia and raised in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, Cirovski led his University of Maryland team to the NCAA championship in 2005, 2008, and 2018. Early life and career Born in Macedonia, he grew up in Vratnica, a small village. Cirovski immigrated to Canada at the age of eight and became an outstanding all-around athlete in Ontario schools. A stand-out college soccer player for the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee he was selected the school's outstanding athlete upon his graduation in 1985. He earned a master's degree there in 1989. He played for the Milwaukee Wave of the American Indoor Soccer Association during the 1986–1987 season and later played and coached the North York Rockets. 2019 MLS SuperDraft
The 2019 MLS SuperDraft was the twentieth SuperDraft conducted by Major League Soccer. The SuperDraft is typically held in conjunction with the annual January United Soccer Coaches convention, which in 2019 was held in Chicago, Illinois. The first two rounds of the 2019 SuperDraft were held on January 11, 2019. Rounds three and four were held via conference call on January 14, 2019. Ryan Blumberg
Ryan Blumberg (born 1 December 1998) is an Australian professional footballer who plays as a defender for the Maryland Terrapins in the Big Ten. Blumberg played youth football for clubs including APIA Leichhardt, Western Sydney Wanderers and Hakoah Sydney City East, where he made his senior debut in 2016. He moved to Europe to play at the Nike Academy in 2016 before moving to Charlton Athletic, where he made his professional debut a year later.
