2019 Kate Sheppard Cup
The 2019 Kate Sheppard Cup is New Zealand's women's 25th annual knockout football competition. This is the second year that the competition is known by the Kate Sheppard Cup, or ''New Zealand Football Foundation Kate Sheppard Cup'' for sponsorship purposes, after previously been known as the Women's Knockout Cup since its establishment. The 2019 competition has three rounds before quarter-finals, semi-finals, and a final. Competition will run in three regions (northern, central/capital, southern) until the quarter-finals, from which stage the draw will be open. In all, 40 teams entered the competition. Dunedin Technical
Dunedin Technical (known locally as Tech) is a semi-professional association football club in Dunedin, New Zealand. They compete in the ODT FootballSouth Premier League and were the 2018 ODT FootballSouth Premier League champions. Club history The club was founded as King Edward Technical College Old Boys in 1920, and changed their name to Dunedin Technical in 1980. They and are based at Culling Park, in the suburb of Saint Kilda. The club has regularly reached the later stages of the Chatham Cup (New Zealand's premier knockout football competition), and have reached the final on four occasions, in each of which they have met a team from Auckland. Kapiti Coast United
Kapiti Coast United (KCU) is an association football club in New Zealand. Their home ground is Weka Park in Raumati Beach on the Kāpiti Coast. History Originally known as the Raumati Hearts, they formed in 1960 as a junior club then two years later added a senior club. Originally named after Heart of Midlothian, an Edinburgh soccer team commonly known as Hearts. The club changed its name to Kapiti Hearts in 2000 then formed as Kapiti Coast United when they merged with Paraparaumu United in 2003. Roslyn-Wakari AFC
Roslyn-Wakari Association Football Club is an association football club based in Dunedin, New Zealand. They compete in the FootballSouth Premier League. History The club's history began in 1888 when the Wakari Football Association first played in the local Dunedin league. This was only 44 years after the foundation of Dunedin, and the club is one of the oldest existing football clubs in the country (the oldest, North Shore United, was founded in 1886). The Wakari AFC consisted of 14 members with 11 or 12 playing members. The first committee included Sir Robert Stout (Premier of NZ 1884–1897) as its president. The club obtained a farmer's paddock and a ditch was dug as the perimeter for the pitch, outside the ditch the ball was out. In 1890 the Wakari AFC changed its name to Roslyn AFC. Mosgiel
Mosgiel (Māori: ''Te Konika o te Matamata'') is an urban satellite of Dunedin in Otago, New Zealand, fifteen kilometres west of the city's centre. Since the re-organisation of New Zealand local government in 1989 it has been inside the Dunedin City Council area. Mosgiel has a population of approximately as of . The town celebrates its location, calling itself "The pearl of the plain". Its low-lying nature does pose problems, making it prone to flooding after heavy rains. The Men's First team competes in the Southern Premier League and has previously competed in the Southern League. The Women's First Team competes in the Women's South Island League. Cashmere Technical
Cashmere Technical is an association football club based in Christchurch, New Zealand. It was formed in early 2012 from the merger of two of the city's premier teams, Cashmere Wanderers and Woolston Technical. Halswell United
Halswell United is an amateur association football club based in Christchurch, New Zealand in the suburb of Halswell. They will compete in the New World Mainland Premier League. The club was founded in 1964 as Halswell United Soccer, changing its name in 1999 when the national body officially changed its title to include the word football, and it is one of the largest clubs in the South Island, with over 900 members.
