2019 Carlton Football Club Season
The 2019 Carlton Football Club season was the Carlton Football Club's 156th season of competition. It was the club's men's team's 123rd season as a member of the Australian Football League. After a 1–10 start to the 2019 AFL season, fourth-year senior coach Brendon Bolton was sacked and replaced by David Teague – first as caretaker coach, but later as permanent senior coach. Improved performances in the second half of the season saw the team finish sixteenth out of eighteen teams with a 7–15 record. It was the club's women's team's third season as a member of the AFL Women's competition. The team finished second out of ten teams in the 2019 AFL Women's season, qualifying for the 2019 AFL Women's Grand Final which it lost against Adelaide by 45 points. The Preston Football Club, which trades and plays as the Northern Bullants, is a long-established Australian rules football club based in Preston that plays in the Victorian Football League (VFL). It plays its home games at the Preston City Oval. The club was established in 1882 as the Preston Football Club. Paddy Dow
Patrick "Paddy" Dow (born 16 October 1999) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the St Kilda Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was drafted by Carlton with their first selection, and third overall, in the 2017 AFL draft. He made his AFL debut in round 1 of the 2018 season against Richmond at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Oakleigh Chargers
The Oakleigh Chargers is an Australian rules football club playing in the NAB League, the top statewide under-18 competition in Victoria, Australia. They are based at Warrawee Park in Oakleigh, Victoria, representing the southeastern suburban area of Melbourne. The Chargers were one of two additional metropolitan clubs introduced to the competition in 1995 as part of a plan by the AFL to replace the traditional club zones with independent junior clubs. 2016 AFL Season
The 2016 AFL season was the 120th season of the Australian Football League (AFL), the highest level senior Australian rules football competition in Australia, which was known as the Victorian Football League until 1989. The season featured eighteen clubs, ran from 24 March until 1 October, and comprised a 22-game home-and-away season followed by a finals series featuring the top eight clubs. Jack Silvagni (born 17 December 1997) is an Australian rules footballer who represents in the Australian Football League (AFL). He is a third-generation Carlton footballer; both his father, Stephen, and paternal grandfather, Sergio, played for Carlton and are legends in the club's Hall of Fame. Marc Murphy (born 19 July 1987) is a retired Australian rules footballer who played for the Carlton Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Hamish McIntosh (born 4 September 1984) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the North Melbourne Football Club and Geelong Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL).
