2019 BWF Season
The 2019 BWF season was the overall badminton circuit organized by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) for the 2019 badminton season to publish and promote the sport. The world badminton tournament in 2019 consisted of: 1. BWF Tournaments (Grade 1; Major Events) * BWF World Mixed Team Championships ( Sudirman Cup) * BWF World Championships 2. 2019 BWF World Championships
The 2019 BWF World Championships was a badminton tournament which was held from 19 to 25 August 2019 at St. Jakobshalle in Basel, Switzerland. Host city selection Basel was chosen to be the host of the 2019 edition of the championships over 2020 Summer Olympics host city, Tokyo. 2019 BWF World Tour
The 2019 BWF World Tour (officially known as the 2019 HSBC BWF World Tour for sponsorship reasons) was the second season of the BWF World Tour of badminton, a circuit of 26 tournaments which led up to the World Tour Finals tournament. The 27 tournaments were divided into five levels: Level 1 was the said World Tour Finals, Level 2 called Super 1000 (three tournaments), Level 3 called Super 750 (five tournaments), Level 4 called Super 500 (seven tournaments) and Level 5 called Super 300 (11 tournaments). Each of these tournaments offered different ranking points and prize money. The highest points and prize pool were offered at the Super 1000 level (including the World Tour Finals). One other category of tournament, the BWF Tour Super 100 (level 6), also offered BWF World Tour ranking points. Lu Ching-yao (; born 7 June 1993) is a Taiwanese badminton player. He was the silver medalist at the 2011 Asian Junior Championships, and 2015 Summer Universiade. He won his first senior international title at the 2014 Singapore International Series tournament in the men's doubles event partnered with Huang Po-jui. Tan Wee Kiong
Tan Wee Kiong (; born 21 May 1989) is a Malaysian badminton player in the doubles event. He is well-known for his former partnership with Goh V Shem, which began at the 2014 Thomas Cup. Together, Tan and Goh won the gold medal in the men's doubles and the mixed team event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. They also won bronze at the 2014 Asian Games. In their Olympic debut at the 2016 Rio Olympics, they won the silver medal, becoming the first Malaysian pair to achieve such a feat since 1996. Goh V Shem
Goh V Shem (; born Goh Wei Shem, 20 May 1989) is a Malaysian badminton player in the doubles event. He was partnered with Tan Wee Kiong after their outstanding performance at the 2014 Thomas Cup. Together, Goh and Tan won the gold medal for the men's doubles event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games as well as all their matches in the mixed team event, helping Malaysia retain the gold medal for the third consecutive time. Lin Dan (born 14 October 1983) is a Chinese former professional badminton player. He is a two-time Olympic champion, five-time World champion, as well as a six-time All England champion. Loh Kean Yew (; born 26 June 1997) is a Singaporean badminton player. He is the former men's singles world champion, winning the title at the 2021 BWF World Championships, becoming the first Singaporean to achieve this feat. Born in Penang, Malaysia, Loh's success as a child within its state team saw him receive a scholarship from the Singapore Sports School. Indoor Stadium Huamark ( th, อินดอร์ สเตเดียม หัวหมาก, , ) is an indoor sporting arena, located in Bangkok, Thailand.
