2019 Arctic Race Of Norway
The 2019 Arctic Race of Norway was a four-stage cycling stage race that took place in Norway between 15 and 18 August. It was the seventh edition of the Arctic Race of Norway and is rated as a 2.HC event as part of the UCI Europe Tour. 2019 UCI Europe Tour
The 2019 UCI Europe Tour was the fifteenth season of the UCI Europe Tour. The 2019 season began on 31 January 2019 with the Vuelta a Mallorca, Trofeo Porreres, Felanitx, Ses Salines, Campos and ended on 20 October 2019. Throughout the season, points are awarded to the top finishers of stages within stage races and the final general classification standings of each of the stages races and one-day events. The quality and complexity of a race also determines how many points are awarded to the top finishers, the higher the UCI rating of a race, the more points are awarded. Narvik (town)
Narvik is a town and the administrative centre of Narvik Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The town is located along the Ofotfjorden in the Ofoten region. The town lies on a peninsula located between the Rombaken fjord and the Beisfjorden. The European route E06 highway runs through the Beisfjord Bridge and HÃ¥logaland Bridge crossing the two small fjords surrounding the town. The town has a population (2018) of 14,141 which gives the town a population density of . Narvik Church is the main church for the town. Narvik is a commercial centre for the region. Lødingen is the administrative centre of Lødingen Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The village is located on the southwestern shore of the island of Hinnøya. The village is also located where the southern mouth of the Tjeldsundet strait meets the Vestfjorden. The Norwegian National Road 85 runs through the village and continues on the Bognes–Lødingen ferry route. The village is the business and transportation centre for the municipality. Melbu
Melbu is a village in Hadsel Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The village is located on the island of Hadseløya on the northern shore of the Hadselfjorden. Melbu is one of two population centres on the island of Hadseløya, and it is called "The Pearl of Vesteraalen". The other being the town of Stokmarknes in the north. Sortland (town)
is a town and the administrative centre of Sortland Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The town is located on the east coast of the island of Langøya, along the Sortlandsundet strait. In 1997, the municipality decided to declare " town status" for the urban area of Sortland. Sortland is the largest town and commercial centre in the whole Vesterålen region and is often referred to as "the blue town by the strait" () since many of the buildings are painted blue. Bryan Coquard
Bryan Coquard (born 25 April 1992) is a French cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . He was a silver medalist at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the Omnium. Career Youth and amateur career Coquard began cycling in 1999 at the age of seven, at the US Pontchâteau club. In September 2008, aged sixteen, he joined CREPS Bordeaux, where he was coached by Éric Vermeulen. In 2009, Coquard won the gold medal in the omnium at the UCI Juniors World Championships, as well as winning the scratch at the European championships. He retained his Junior Omnium crown in 2010, winning four of the six events, he also finished second in the Scratch Race. Due to his track success, in June 2011 Coquard signed a contract with for the start of the 2013 professional road season.
