2019 1. Divisjon
The 2019 1. divisjon (referred to as OBOS-ligaen for sponsorship reasons) was a Norwegian second-tier football league season. Aalesund set a new record for most points in a 1. divisjon season with 79. They surpassed IK Start's previous record of 74 points, from the 2004 season. Season summary On 20 October, Aalesund secured both promotion and league title with three games to spare by winning 1–0 away over Tromsdalen. The same day, Tromsdalen were the first team to be relegated as their defeat coincided with a victory for Strømmen. On 2 November, Sandefjord secured promotion to the first tier with one match to spare after their 1–0 win over Jerv at Komplett Arena. On the same day, Skeid were the second team to be relegated as their draw against Notodden meant that survival was out of reach before the ultimate round. 2004 Norwegian First Division
The 2004 1. divisjon was a Norwegian second-tier football season. The season kicked off on 12 April 2004, and the final round was played on 31 October 2004. Start were promoted to the 2005 Tippeligaen as First Division winners, along with Aalesund who finished second. Start will be playing in the top division for the first time since 2002. Aalesund, meanwhile, returned to the top flight after being relegated in 2003. As in previous seasons, there was a two-legged promotion play-off at the end of the season, between the third-placed team in the 1. divisjon (Kongsvinger) and the twelfth-placed team in the Tippeligaen ( Bodø/Glimt). Bodø/Glimt kept their spot in the Tippeligaen, beating Kongsvinger 4–1 on aggregate. The 2018 Eliteserien was the 74th completed season of top-tier football in Norway. This was second season of Eliteserien as rebranding from Tippeligaen. The season began on 11 March and ended 24 November 2018, not including play-off matches. Fixtures for the 2018 season were announced on 19 December 2017. Rosenborg were the defending champions, while Bodø/Glimt, Start and Ranheim entered as the promoted teams from the 2017 1. divisjon. Rosenborg won their fourth consecutive title, their 26th top-flight title overall, with one match to spare following a 1–0 away win against Start on 11 November 2018.
