2018–19 VfL Wolfsburg Season
The 2018–19 VfL Wolfsburg season was the 74th season in the football club's history and 22nd consecutive and overall season in the top flight of German football, the Bundesliga, having been promoted from the 2. Bundesliga in 1997. In addition to the domestic league, VfL Wolfsburg also participated in the season's edition of the domestic cup, the DFB-Pokal. This was the 17th season for Wolfsburg in the Volkswagen Arena, located in Wolfsburg, Lower Saxony, Germany. The season covers a period from 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2019. Verein für Leibesübungen Wolfsburg e. V., commonly known as VfL Wolfsburg () or Wolfsburg, is a German professional sports club based in Wolfsburg, Lower Saxony. The club grew out of a multi-sports club for Volkswagen workers in the city of Wolfsburg. Daniel Didavi (born 21 February 1990) is a German professional footballer. Club career Didavi started his career with SpV 05 Nürtingen. He was scouted in summer 2003 by VfB Stuttgart, and he was promoted to the first team in July 2009. In July 2011, he was loaned out to 1. FC Nürnberg until the end of the season, where he became known as a midfielder with an eye for the goal, scoring 8 goals in the second half of the season.
