2018–19 USC Trojans Men's Basketball Team
The 2018–19 USC Trojans men's basketball team represented the University of Southern California during the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Led by sixth-year head coach Andy Enfield, they played their home games at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, California as members of the Pac-12 Conference. Previous season The Trojans finished the season 24–12, 12–6 in Pac-12 play to finish in second place. As the No. 2 seed in the Pac-12 tournament, they defeated Oregon State in the quarterfinals and Oregon in the semifinals before losing to Arizona in the championship game. They were one of the last four teams not selected for the NCAA tournament and as a result earned a No. 1 seed in the National Invitation Tournament, where they defeated UNC Asheville in the first round before losing to Western Kentucky in the second round. Andy Enfield
Andrew William Enfield (born June 8, 1969) is an American basketball coach who is the men's head coach for the USC Trojans of the Pac-12 Conference. He came to national prominence as head coach at Florida Gulf Coast when it made an unexpected run to the Sweet 16 round of the 2013 NCAA tournament as a No. 15 seed. Originally from Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, Enfield played college basketball at Johns Hopkins University as a shooting guard and graduated with 18 school records. He holds the all-time NCAA record for free throw shooting percentage. A basketball coach since 1994, Enfield began his career as an assistant coach for the NBA's Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics, after which he went on a brief hiatus from coaching to work as a business executive. 2018 NBA Draft
The 2018 NBA Draft was held on June 21, 2018, at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. National Basketball Association (NBA) teams took turns selecting amateur United States college basketball players and other eligible players, including international players. It was televised nationally by ESPN. State Farm was the presenting sponsor of the NBA draft for the seventh consecutive year. Rancho Santa Margarita is a city in Orange County, California, United States. One of Orange County's youngest cities, Rancho Santa Margarita is a master-planned community. Eric Isaiah Mobley (born September 24, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA), on a two-way contract with the Cleveland Charge of the NBA G League. Onyeka Okongwu (born December 11, 2000) is an American professional basketball player for the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the USC Trojans. Okongwu was a four-year starter at Chino Hills High School in California, playing alongside Lonzo and LaMelo Ball. Oldsmar is a city in Pinellas County, Florida, United States. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 13,591. The Oldsmar name dates to April 12, 1916 when automobile pioneer Ransom E. Olds purchased of land by the northern part of Tampa Bay to establish "R. E. Olds-on-the-Bay". The name was later changed to Oldsmar, then to "Tampa Shores" in 1927, and finally back to Oldsmar in 1937. Ransom Olds named some of the original streets himself, such as Gim Gong Road for Lue Gim Gong.
