2018–19 UConn Huskies Men's Basketball Team
The 2018–19 UConn Huskies men's basketball team represented the University of Connecticut in the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Huskies were led by first-year head coach Dan Hurley and participated as members of the American Athletic Conference. The Huskies split their home games between the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut, and the Harry A. Gampel Pavilion on the UConn campus in Storrs, Connecticut. They finished the season 16–17, 6–12 in AAC play to finish in a tie for ninth place. They defeated South Florida in the first round of the AAC tournament before losing in the quarterfinals to Houston. Previous season The Huskies finished the 2017–18 season 14–18, 7–11 in AAC play to finish in eighth place. They lost in the first round of the AAC tournament to SMU. Dan Hurley
Daniel S. Hurley (born January 16, 1973) is an American basketball coach who currently coaches the University of Connecticut men's basketball team. Hurley was named head coach of the Huskies on March 22, 2018, after two years at Wagner College and six years at the University of Rhode Island. Hurley turned down an aggressive long-term offer from Rhode Island in order to lead UConn. Prior to Wagner, Hurley was head coach of Saint Benedict's Preparatory School, where he is credited with building the New Jersey school into one of the top high school basketball programs in America. Hurley played five years of college basketball, including a redshirt year, at Seton Hall. During his first three seasons, his head coach was P. J. Carlesimo. Kevin Jermaine Ollie (born December 27, 1972) is an American basketball coach and former player. Kevin is the head coach for Overtime Elite, a professional basketball league co-founded by Dan Porter and Zack Weiner for top players between 16 and 20 years old, founded in 2021. He is the former head coach of the University of Connecticut men's basketball team and only one of four African American coaches to ever win an NCAA Men's Basketball Championship. Ollie graduated from Connecticut in 1995 with a degree in Communications. James David Bouknight (; born September 18, 2000) is an American professional basketball player for the Charlotte Hornets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the UConn Huskies men's basketball, UConn Huskies. Early life and high school career Bouknight grew up in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, in New York City. Duquesne Dukes Men's Basketball
The Duquesne Dukes represent Duquesne University in college basketball. The team, which started in 1914, has only ever played in NCAA Division I and has had five appearances in the NCAA Tournament. The Dukes play in the Atlantic 10 Conference, of which they have been members since 1976 (minus the 1992–93 season in which the Dukes were single-season members of the Midwestern Collegiate Conference).
