The 2018–19 San Antonio Spurs season was the 52nd season in the history of the franchise, and was its 43rd in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and its 46th in the San Antonio area. The Spurs finished the season with a 48-34 record and earned the seventh seed in the Western Conference playoffs. The team broke an NBA record with its 22nd consecutive playoff appearance. In the first round of the playoffs, the Spurs lost to the Denver Nuggets in seven games. As of 2022, this season currently marks the last time the Spurs have made the playoffs. Gregg Popovich
Gregg Charles Popovich (born January 28, 1949) is an American professional basketball coach and executive who is the president and head coach of the San Antonio Spurs of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Taking over as coach of the Spurs in 1996, Popovich is the longest tenured active coach in the NBA as well as all other major sports leagues in the United States. 2000–01 San Antonio Spurs Season
The 2000–01 NBA season was the Spurs' 25th season in the National Basketball Association, their 28th season in San Antonio, and their 34th season as a franchise. During the off-season, the Spurs signed free agents Derek Anderson, and Danny Ferry. All-Star forward Tim Duncan had nearly signed a free agent deal with the Orlando Magic, but decided to stay with the Spurs. The team got off to a 13–9 start, then won ten of their next twelve games, and held a 31–16 record at the All-Star break. Arthur Edward "Chip" Engelland III (born May 9, 1961) is an American basketball coach and former professional player. He is currently an assistant coach for the Oklahoma City Thunder of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Miami Hurricanes Men's Basketball
The Miami Hurricanes men's basketball team is the college basketball team of the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. The team competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). The University of Miami men's basketball team was formed in 1926, but the program was later dropped by the university in 1971. Lonnie Walker IV (born December 14, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Big Three was a trio of National Basketball Association players for the San Antonio Spurs from 2002 to 2016, which consisted of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginóbili.
