The 2018–19 season was Rotherham United's 94th season in their existence and the first back in the Championship following promotion via the play-offs last season. The club will also participate in the FA Cup and the EFL Cup. Key Events On 13 March 2019, Rotherham won away at Queens Park Rangers, claiming their first away win of the season, and their first win in the EFL Championship in 44 attempts, the last being on 9 April 2016. Rotherham () is a large minster and market town in South Yorkshire, England. The town takes its name from the River Rother which then merges with the River Don. The River Don then flows through the town centre. It is the main settlement of the Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham. Rotherham is also the third largest settlement in South Yorkshire after Sheffield and Doncaster, which it is located between. Traditional industries included glass making and flour milling. Lewis Peter Price (born 19 July 1984) is a retired Welsh international professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He is currently the First-Team Goalkeeping Coach for League One club Milton Keynes Dons. Matthew Thomas Palmer (born 27 February 1995) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for National League club Notts County. Career Burton Albion Palmer was born in Derby, Derbyshire. He joined Burton Albion's youth academy after being released by Derby County. Anthony Michael Forde (born 16 November 1993) is an Irish professional footballer who plays for club Wrexham. He has represented the Republic of Ireland at numerous youth levels. Career Wolves Forde moved to Wolves in summer 2009 to become part of their academy group. William Robert Vaulks (born 13 September 1993) is a Welsh professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for EFL Championship club Sheffield Wednesday and the Wales national team. Osaore Emmanuel Onariase (born 21 October 1996) is an English professional footballer who plays as a central defender for club Hartlepool United. Born in Croydon, Onarise came through the ranks at West Ham United, signing his first professional contract in April 2015. He subsequently joined Brentford in 2016.
