2018–19 Portland State Vikings Men's Basketball Team
The 2018–19 Portland State Vikings men's basketball team represented Portland State University during the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Vikings, led by second-year head coach Barret Peery, played their return home games at Viking Pavilion in Portland, Oregon after a one year renovation, as members of the Big Sky Conference. They finished the season 16–16, 11–9 in Big Sky play to finish in a three-way tie for fourth place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the Big Sky tournament to Weber State. Previous season The Vikings finished the 2017–18 season 20–14, 9–9 in Big Sky play to finish in a tie for sixth place. They defeated Sacramento State in the first round of the Big Sky tournament before losing in the quarterfinals to Eastern Washington. Barret Peery
Barret Rex Peery (born April 3, 1971) is an American college basketball coach and current assistant coach at UNLV. He was formerly the head coach at Portland State. Playing career Peery played college basketball at Snow College for two seasons before transferring to Southern Utah, where he was a part of two American West Conference championship squads. Coaching career After graduation, Peery assisted at Southern Utah for one season before returning to Snow College for another season as an assistant coach. After a stop at Utah Valley, Peery returned as an assistant at Southern Utah before taking an assistant coaching position at Portland State from 2002 to 2003. Peery then served as an assistant coach at College of Southern Idaho from 2003 to 2005 under Gib Arnold, before taking over as the head coach from 2005 to 2008. Panola College
Panola College is a public community college in Carthage, Texas, the county seat of Panola County. As defined by the Texas Legislature, the official service area of Panola College includes: *all of Marion, Panola, and Shelby Counties, and *all of Harrison County excluding the territory within the Hallsville Independent School District. Eastern Florida State College, formerly Brevard Community College, is a public college in Brevard County, Florida. Cal State San Bernardino Coyotes
The Cal State San Bernardino Coyotes are the men's and women's intercollegiate athletic squads of California State University, San Bernardino. The athletic department was established in 1984 and the school's athletic mascot is the Coyote. The school's official colors are blue and black. The Coyotes play in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) in the NCAA's Division II. Kalispell (, Montana Salish: Ql̓ispé, Kutenai language: kqayaqawakⱡuʔnam) is a city in, and the county seat of, Flathead County, Montana, United States.
