2018–19 Oakland Golden Grizzlies Men's Basketball Team
The 2018–19 Oakland Golden Grizzlies men's basketball team represented Oakland University during the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Golden Grizzlies, led by 35th-year head coach Greg Kampe, played their home games at the Athletics Center O'rena in Auburn Hills, Michigan as members of the Horizon League. They finished the season 16–17, 11–7 in Horizon League play to finish in third place. They defeated Youngstown State in the quarterfinals of the Horizon League tournament before losing in the semifinals to Northern Kentucky. Previous season The Golden Grizzlies finished the 2017–18 season 19–14, 10–8 in Horizon League play to finish in fourth place. Greg Kampe
Greg Charles Kampe (born December 9, 1955) is an American college basketball coach and the current head men's basketball coach at Oakland University. He guided the Golden Grizzlies to their first NCAA Division I tournament and tournament win in 2005. Through the 2016–17 season, he has compiled a record in 33 seasons at Oakland University. Kampe, a member of the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame, is one of nine Division I basketball coaches who have been at the same school for at least 25 seasons. Kampe is the second longest-tenured Division I head coach, behind Jim Boeheim. Kampe won The Summit League's coach of the year four times, the most recent being in 2010 and 2011. Kampe won his 500th career game January 26, 2013. On May 30, 2017, Kampe was one of eight new inductees announced for the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame in Detroit. Hilliard Bradley High School
Hilliard Bradley High School is the newest high school in the Hilliard City School District in Hilliard, Ohio. It is one of three high schools in the district along with Hilliard Davidson High School and Hilliard Darby High School. The school is located at 2800 Walker Road, just north of Brown Elementary School. The mascot is the Jaguar and the school's colors are royal blue, black and silver. Bradley High School is named in honor of Raymond K. Bradley, a former Hilliard Board of Education member and a lifelong Brown Township resident. The Eastern Michigan Eagles men's basketball team represents Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan. The team currently competes in the West division of the Mid-American Conference (MAC). They have appeared in four NCAA Division I tournaments and have a 3–4 record, tied for third best among Michigan colleges.
