People's United Center
M&T Bank Arena, previously known as TD Bank Sports Center and People's United Center, is a multi-purpose arena in Hamden, Connecticut. Its design is unusual in that it consists of two separate playing and seating areas, one intended for basketball and one intended for ice hockey, joined together within a common facility. It seats 3,570 for basketball and 3,386 for hockey. Officially, the hockey side is known as the Frank Perrotti, Jr. Arena at the People's United Center. The center opened on January 27, 2007, and is home to the Quinnipiac University men's and women's basketball and men's and women's ice hockey teams. It replaced Burt Kahn Court for the basketball team and the Northford Ice Pavilion for ice hockey. It is located on Quinnipiac's York Hill Campus and is part of a large expansion project for that campus. The center cost $52 million to build. Annie Pankowski
Annie Pankowski (born November 4, 1994) is an American women's ice hockey player with the PWHPA and the United States women's national ice hockey team. She was the first California born and trained player to make the United States women's national under-18 ice hockey team. Playing career Across 154 NCAA games, Pankowski put up 206 points. She took leave for the 2017-18 season to train with the American Olympic team. She was a Patty Kazmaier Award finalist three years in a row from 2016 to 2019. She was drafted 1st overall by the Metropolitan Riveters in the 2018 NWHL Draft, but has yet to make an appearance for the club. In May 2019, she joined the PWHPA, after the collapse of the CWHL. She took part in the 2020 ECHL All-Star Classic and the 2020 NHL All-Star Game. International Pankowski attended North American Hockey Academy and was a member of the United States U18 National Team. Emily Brown (ice Hockey)
Emily Brown (born December 30, 1998) is an American ice hockey defender for PWHL Boston of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). Brown played college ice hockey for the Minnesota Golden Gophers women's ice hockey program, serving as co-captain for two seasons and captain for one season. Playing career During her teens, Brown played club ice hockey for the Minnesota Junior Whitecaps and in the Upper Midwest High School Elite League, in addition to playing on the varsity team of her high school. She received the Herb Brooks Award in 2017, honoring her as the "most qualified player" at that year's Minnesota Girls' AA state ice hockey tournament, and was named to the ''USA Today'' High School Sports All-USA Second Team for ice hockey in 2016 and 2017. Defence or defense (in American English) in ice hockey is a player position that is primarily responsible for preventing the opposing team from Goal (ice hockey), scoring. They are often referred to as defencemen, D, D-men or blueliners (the latter a reference to the blue line in ice hockey which represents the boundary of the offensive zone; defencemen generally position themselves along the line to keep the puck in the zone). Abigail Levy
Abigail "Abbey" Levy (born April 2, 2000) is an American professional ice hockey goaltender for PWHL New York of the Professional Women's Hockey League. She was selected by New York 64th overall, in the eleventh round of the 2023 PWHL Draft. Playing career Amateur Shattuck St. Mary's Levy attended Shattuck St. Mary's, where she played for their 16U and 19U teams and won three USA Hockey National Championships in three seasons, allowing an average of just one goal per game in tournament play. Minnesota State Levy announced her commitment to Minnesota State University on May 8, 2016. In her freshman season with the Mavericks, the 2018–19 season, she started 34 games and set single-season team records for shutouts (5) and minutes played.
