2018–19 Livingston F.C. Season
The 2018–19 season was Livingston's first season of play back in the top tier of Scottish football since 2006, having been promoted via the Premiership play-off from the Scottish Championship, at the end of the previous season. Livingston also competed in the League and Scottish Cup. Summary Management Having led the club to consecutive promotions manager David Hopkin departed the club during the close season on 31 May 2018, having declined the offer of a new contract. First team coach David Martindale took charge of team affairs in the interim. On 30 June 2018, former Rangers and Scotland striker Kenny Miller was appointed as player-manager on a two-year contract. Livingston marked his first managerial appointment. On 20 August 2018, after just seven games Miller parted company with Livingston. Declan Gallagher
Declan Patrick Gallagher (born 13 February 1991) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Scottish Championship club Dundee United and the Scotland national team. Gallagher started his career at Celtic but never made a first team appearance, however he was involved in their Scottish Youth Cup win in 2010. He was then sent out on loan to Stranraer to gain some first team experience. Despite impressing while on loan, he was released and was signed by Clyde before moving on to join Dundee. After experiencing a relegation followed by a promotion in two seasons at Dens Park, he joined Livingston in 2014. In 2016, Gallagher was imprisoned for more than a year for assault which took place three years earlier. Nicky Cadden
Nicholas Cadden (born 19 September 1996) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a winger for Barnsley. Cadden has previously played for Airdrieonians, Livingston, Ayr United and Greenock Morton. He is the twin brother of Chris Cadden. Career Airdrieonians Cadden joined Airdrieonians following his release from Motherwell. He made his first team debut on 16 November 2013 against Dunfermline and scored his first competitive goal over two years later on 26 December 2015 against Peterhead. He left at the end of the 2015–16 season. Livingston Cadden signed for West Lothian side Livingston in summer 2016 ahead of the club's first and only year in Scottish League One. Lyndon John Dykes (born 7 October 1995) is a footballer who plays as a striker for EFL Championship club Queens Park Rangers. Born and raised in Australia to Scottish parents, he represents the Scotland national team. Dykes previously played for Mudgeeraba, Merrimac, Redlands United and Surfers Paradise Apollo in Australia, and for Queen of the South and Livingston in Scotland. Gary Harkins (born 2 January 1985) is a Scottish professional footballer and coach who plays as a midfielder. Having come through the youth academies at Celtic and Blackburn Rovers he would notably play in the Scottish Premiership for Kilmarnock, Dundee and St. Mirren. He also played in the English Football League for Huddersfield Town, Bury, Blackpool, Grimsby Town and Oldham Athletic, and in the Scottish Football League for Partick Thistle, Ayr United, Greenock Morton, Queen of the South, Stenhousemuir and Forfar Athletic.
