2018–19 Idaho Vandals Men's Basketball Team
The 2018–19 Idaho Vandals men's basketball team represented the University of Idaho in the Big Sky Conference during the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Led by eleventh-year head coach Don Verlin, the Vandals played their home games at Cowan Spectrum, with a few early season games at Memorial Gym, both on campus in Moscow, Idaho. They finished the season at 5–27 (2–18 in Big Sky, last). Idaho lost in the first round of the conference tournament to Montana State. On June 14, 2019, head coach Don Verlin was fired amid possible NCAA violations. He finished at Idaho with an 11-year record of 177–176. Don Verlin
Donald Gene Verlin (born June 15, 1965) is an American college basketball coach who was most recently the head coach at the Idaho Vandals men's basketball, University of Idaho from 2008 to 2019. Prior to Idaho, Verlin was an assistant coach at Colorado State Rams men's basketball, Colorado State, Utah State Aggies men's basketball, Utah State, and Cal State Bakersfield Roadrunners men's basketball, Cal State Bakersfield. Early life and education Born in Roseville, California, Verlin graduated from Del Oro High School in Loomis, California, Loomis in 1983. College of Southern Idaho (CSI) is a public community college in Twin Falls, Idaho. It also has off-campus programs in Jerome, Hailey, Burley and Gooding. The Oregon State Beavers men's basketball program, established in 1901, is the intercollegiate men's basketball program of Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon.
