2018–19 Colorado Buffaloes Men's Basketball Team
The 2018–19 Colorado Buffaloes men's basketball team represented the University of Colorado in the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. They were led by head coach Tad Boyle in his ninth season at Colorado. The Buffaloes played their home games at CU Events Center in Boulder, Colorado as members of the Pac-12 Conference. They finished the season 23–13, 10–8 in Pac-12 play to finish in a 3-way tie for fourth place. They defeated California and Oregon State in the first round and quarterfinals of the Pac-12 tournament before losing in the semifinals to Washington. They received an invitation to the National Invitation Tournament where they defeated Dayton in the first round, Norfolk State in the second round before losing to Texas in the quarterfinals. Tad Boyle
Thomas Martin "Tad" Boyle (born January 6, 1963) is an American college basketball coach who is the men's head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes of the Pac-12 Conference. He was named the 18th coach in Colorado men's basketball history on April 19, 2010, replacing Jeff Bzdelik. Boyle was named as an assistant coach for USA Basketball a second time in 2015. He played collegiately at Kansas under coach Ted Owens and Hall of Fame coach Larry Brown. While playing for the Jayhawks, Boyle played on two NCAA tournament teams in 1984 and 1985. He served as team captain his senior year, which was 1988 NBA draft choice Danny Manning's freshman season and Mark Turgeon's sophomore season. 2017–18 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Season
The 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season began on November 10, 2017. The first tournament was the 2K Sports Classic and the season ended with the Final Four in San Antonio on April 2, 2018. Practices officially began on September 29, 2017. Rule changes The following rule changes were proposed for the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season: * Expanding the coaches' box from 28 feet to 38 feet. * Resetting the shot clock to 20 seconds when the ball is inbounded in the front court after a foul or violation (ex. kicked ball) by the defense. If there are more than 20 seconds on the shot clock in this situation, the shot clock will not be reset. San Diego Toreros Men's Basketball
The San Diego Toreros men's basketball team is a college basketball team that represents the University of San Diego in San Diego, California. The school's team currently competes in the West Coast Conference (WCC). The team played in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament in 2008. The Toreros play their home games in the Jenny Craig Pavilion, and their head coach is Steve Lavin. They won their first WCC title in 1983–84, when the conference was known as the West Coast Athletic Conference. Baldwin is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) located in the Town of Hempstead in Nassau County, on Long Island, in New York, United States. The 2018 NBA Draft was held on June 21, 2018, at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. National Basketball Association (NBA) teams took turns selecting amateur United States college basketball players and other eligible players, including international players. George McZavier King Jr. (born January 15, 1994) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Illawarra Hawks of the National Basketball League (NBL). He played college basketball for the Colorado Buffaloes, earning second-team all-conference honors in the Pac-12 as a senior in 2018.
