2018–19 California Golden Bears Women's Basketball Team
The 2018–19 California Golden Bears women's basketball team represented University of California, Berkeley during the 2018–19 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Golden Bears, led by eighth year head coach Lindsay Gottlieb, played their home games at the Haas Pavilion as members of the Pac-12 Conference. They finished the season 20–13, 9–9 in Pac-12 play to finish in a tie for sixth place. They advanced to the quarterfinals of the Pac-12 women's tournament where they lost to Stanford. They received an at-large bid to the NCAA women's tournament where they defeated North Carolina in the first round before losing to Baylor in the second round. Lindsay Gottlieb
Lindsay Catherine Gottlieb (born October 2, 1977) is an American basketball coach who is the women's head coach for the USC Trojans of the Pac-12 Conference. She was previously the head coach of the California Golden Bears women's team before becoming an assistant coach for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Gottlieb began her head coaching career with the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos where she spent three years and led the team to two regular-season Big West championships in 2009 and 2011, as well as the Big West tournament championship in 2009. In just her second season at the University of California, Berkeley, Gottlieb led the 2012–13 Golden Bears to their first Final Four in school history, their first Pac-12 Conference championship, and the most wins ever by a Cal women's basketball team (32-4). UTSA Roadrunners
The UTSA Roadrunners is a collegiate athletic program that represents the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). The UTSA Roadrunners are also commonly referred to as "UTSA", "Roadrunners", "Runners", “The Meep Meeps”, or simply “The Birds”, and are represented by the mascot Rowdy. The origin of Rowdy dates back to 1977, when the Roadrunner was chosen as the university's mascot by student election. Opened in 1996, it is the second Tempe Union High School District (TUHSD) school in Ahwatukee and serves approximately 3,000 students. Garces Memorial High School
Garces Memorial High School, commonly shortened to Garces High School, is a Catholic high school in Bakersfield, California. The school offers college prep, honors, and Advanced Placement (AP) courses in many subjects. As a Catholic institution, the high school requires theology classes for all four years. Electives include art, yearbook, intro to broadcasting and many others to choose from. Garces has one of the most successful sports programs in the history of the CIF-Central Section.
