2018–19 Arizona State Sun Devils Men's Basketball Team
The 2018–19 Arizona State Sun Devils men's basketball team represented Arizona State University during the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Sun Devils, led by fourth-year head coach Bobby Hurley, played their home games at Wells Fargo Arena (Tempe), Wells Fargo Arena in Tempe, Arizona as members of Pac-12 Conference men's basketball, Pac–12 Conference. They finished the season 23–11, 12–6 in Pac-12 play to finish for second place. In the 2019 Pac-12 Conference men's basketball tournament, Pac-12 tournament, the Sun Devils defeated UCLA in the quarterfinals and lost to Oregon in the semifinals. They received an at-large bid to the 2019 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, NCAA tournament where they defeated St. John's in the First Four, and eventually lost in the First round to Buffalo. Bobby Hurley
Robert Matthew Hurley (born June 28, 1971) is an American college basketball coach and former professional player who is the head coach of the Arizona State Sun Devils men's basketball, Arizona State Sun Devils. He was previously the head coach at the Buffalo Bulls men's basketball, University at Buffalo. As a college player, he was a consensus first-team NCAA Men's Basketball All-Americans, All-American for the Duke Blue Devils men's basketball, Duke Blue Devils, with whom he won consecutive national championships. He is the all-time leader in assist (basketball), assists in NCAA basketball. Chatsworth, Los Angeles
Chatsworth is a suburban neighborhood in the City of Los Angeles, California, in the San Fernando Valley. The area was home to Native Americans, some of whom left caves containing rock art. Chatsworth was explored and colonized by the Spanish beginning in the 18th century. Athlete Institute
The Athlete Institute is an athletic centre located in Mono, Ontario. It is made up of two facilities, the training centre and the fieldhouse. The institute is home to The Orangeville Prep Basketball Academy, who compete in the Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association (OSBA). Orangeville District Secondary School provides academic instruction for the institute's students. It was formerly home to the Orangeville A's of the National Basketball League of Canada (NBL). Athlete Institute is currently sponsored by Nike and BioSteel. History The institute was founded in September 2010 by colleagues Jesse Tipping and Adam Hoffman. Luguentz Dort (born April 19, 1999; or ) is a Canadian professional basketball player for the Oklahoma City Thunder of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Arizona State Sun Devils. Dort completed his high school career at the Athlete Institute in Mono, Ontario, where he was rated as high as a five-star recruit and was one of the top high school players in Canada. Elias Valtonen (born June 11, 1999) is a Finnish professional basketball player for Baxi Manresa of the Liga ACB. He played college basketball for the Arizona State Sun Devils. Valtonen is 2.01 m (6 ft 7 in) tall, and plays the shooting guard position.
