The year 2018 was the 25th year in the history of the K-1, an international kickboxing event. The year started with K-1: K’Festa 1. List of events K-1 World GP 2018: K'FESTA.1 ''K-1 World GP 2018: K'FESTA.1'' was a kickboxing event held by K-1 on March 21, 2018 at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan. Background This event features six world title fights and an 8-Man Super Featherweight Tournament. Wei Rui, came overweight at the weigh-ins and his title was vacated. By winning Koya Urabe was eligible for the title while Wei Rui was ineligible and in case of him winning the title would have become vacant. Kenji Kubo
Kenji Kubo (born 4 April 1989), also known simply as KENJI, is a Japanese kickboxer and former professional boxer. He is the 2017 K-1 Super Bantamweight Grand Prix finalist, the 2011 RISE Bantamweight champion and the 2007 NJKF Flyweight champion. Kickboxing career K-1 Kubo returned to K-1 in 2017, and was immediately scheduled to take part in the 2017 K-1 Super Bantamweight Grand Prix. It was his first kickboxing bout in nearly five years. Kubo beat Suen Tak Chuen by an extra round unanimous decision in the quarterfinals, and Nobuchika Terado by a second-round knockout in the semifinals. Kubo fought Yoshiki Takei in the finals, and lost the fight by unanimous decision. After he finished as the runner-up in the Super Bantamweight Grand Prix, Kubo was scheduled to fight a rematch with Nobuchika Terado for the Krush Super Bantamweight title, at Krush 82. Yasuomi Soda
is a Japanese kickboxer fighting out of the Silver Wolf Gym, the same gym of the legendary kickboxer Masato. He was the RISE kickboxing Super Lightweight champion, winning his title against Japanese kickboxer Koji Yoshimoto. He was K-1 World GP 2014 -65kg Championship Tournament finalist and holds victories over notable featherweight kickboxers such as Minoru Kimura and Yuta Kubo. Kickboxing career RISE Super Lightweight title run Soda made his debut in 2009, when he participated in the RISE 59 RISING ROOKIES CUP. Koji (kickboxer)
, better known as , is a Japanese kickboxer, fighting out of Japan. As of July 2021, he is the #7 ranked Bantamweight according to Combat Press. He's been ranked since May 2019. Kickboxing career Koji lost to Taiga by decision in June 2017. In February 2017, Koji fought Mohamed Boulef for the ISKA World Lightweight title. He beat Boulef by unanimous decision. Tetsuya Yamato
is a Japanese Lightweight kickboxer. He won the Japanese national K-1 tournament as a Lightweight in 2010. Background Yamato was born in Chita, Aichi, Japan on December 10, 1987 as Tetsuya Iwashita. He took the name Yamato in honour of his gym, Yamato Kickboxing Gym. After graduating from high school he started working in construction, and became a painter to coat buildings with coloured acrylic resin. Masaaki Noiri
is a Japanese kickboxer who competes in the lightweight and welterweight divisions. He began practicing karate as a young boy and had great success in both full contact karate and amateur kickboxing in his early teens, which included winning the K-1 Koshien 62 kg (136 lb) schoolboys tournament in 2009. After turning professional in 2010, he became a mainstay in the Krush promotion and was victorious in the 2011 Krush Under-22 ~63 kg (140 lb) Supernova~ Tournament. Hinata Watanabe (born August 26, 1986 in Hiratsuka), or HINATA, is a Japanese welterweight kickboxer fighting out of Hiratsuka, Japan for the Shonan Kakuto Club. He is the 2008 R.I.S.E. champion currently competing in R.I.S.E. and K-1 MAX. Biography and career Hinata made his pro debut with RISE at the G-Bazooka Tournament event in 2005 losing in a non-tournament match. Over the next couple of years he had a fairly unspectacular fight record on the local circuit winning nine and losing six between 2005 and 2007. Chingiz Ayazovich Allazov ( be, Чынгiз Аяз аглы Аллазаў, born 10 June 1993) is a Georgian-born Belarusian kickboxer of Azerbaijani descent, currently signed with ONE Championship. is a Brazilian kickboxer of Japanese and Italian descent, fighting out of Fighting Kairos Gym. He is the former K-1 Super Welterweight champion. Kaew Fairtex ( Thai: แก้ว แฟร์เท็กซ์; born, September 5, 1984) is a Thai kickboxer and the former WBC Muay Thai World champion at super featherweight and current WPMF World champion at super lightweight.
