Georgie Gardner (born 1 June 1970) is an Australian television and news presenter and journalist. Gardner is currently weekend presenter on ''Nine News Sydney.'' She has previously been a co-host and news presenter on the Nine Network's breakfast program ''Today''. Career Gardner joined the Nine Network in July 2002 to present weather on ''National Nine News'' in Sydney, and to host afternoon updates. In 2004, the Nine Network added a semi-national news bulletin at 4:30 pm, '' National Nine News Afternoon Edition'', for which Gardner was the original presenter. Gardner has worked at Network Ten as a reporter and presenter for ''Ten News''. FX Australia
FX was an Australian subscription television channel which focused on male-skewed television shows. The channel is owned and operated by Fox Networks Group and launched on 26 February 2012 on both Foxtel and Austar platforms. On 12 June 2012 it was reported that a two-hour timeshift channel (FX + 2) would launch on 3 July 2012, but this was retracted for it to be later reported that it would launch on 6 September 2012.Advertised in Foxtel's 'Preview September 2012' email. Eurosport News
Eurosport News was the first 24-hour international Europe-based sports news channel part of the European sports network Eurosport, owned by Discovery Inc. It was available at 11 million homes for 54 countries worldwide. History The channel launched on 1 September 2000 and quietly closed down on 1 January 2018. It featured live scores, highlights, most recent breaking news and commentaries with recorded voiceovers, similar to Euronews. Eurosport News' sportscasts were broadcast around the clock in 15-minute blocks with frequent updates. The service combined video, text and graphics with the screen being divided into 4 sections. OzTam
OzTAM is an Australian audience measurement research firm that collects and markets television ratings data. It is jointly owned by the Seven Network, the Nine Network and Network Ten, and is the official source of television ratings data for all metropolitan television in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth as well as subscription services (such as Foxtel) on a national basis. OzTAM was created in 1999 after the Seven and Ten Networks led a call for a re-tendering of the contract to provide audience ratings. Executives from both networks were concerned that the previous ratings service did not accurately reflect viewing levels for their channels. Prior to OzTAM, the dominant metropolitan ratings company was Nielsen Media Research. The two companies competed for a short time, before Nielsen pulled out. Foxtel is an Australian pay television company—operating in cable television, direct broadcast satellite television, and IPTV streaming services.
