2018 World Wrestling Championships – Women's Freestyle 62 Kg
The women's freestyle 62 kilograms is a competition featured at the 2018 World Wrestling Championships. This freestyle wrestling competition consists of a single-elimination tournament, with a repechage used to determine the winner of two bronze medals. The two finalists face off for gold and silver medals. Each wrestler who loses to one of the two finalists moves into the repechage, culminating in a pair of bronze medal matches featuring the semifinal losers each facing the remaining repechage opponent from their half of the bracket. The László Papp Budapest Sports Arena ( hu, Papp László Budapest Sportaréna), also known as Budapest Sports Arena or locally just Arena, is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Budapest, Hungary. It is the second biggest sports complex in the country after MVM Dome, which is also in the capital, and it is named after Hungarian boxer László Papp. The venue can hold up to 12,500 people in its largest concert configuration, up to 11,390 for boxing and 9,479 for ice hockey. Nguyễn Thị Mỹ Hạnh (born 28 September 1997) is a Vietnamese freestyle wrestler. She is a gold medalist at the Southeast Asian Games and a bronze medalist at the Asian Games. Career She won one of the bronze medals in the women's freestyle 62kg event at the 2018 Asian Games held in Jakarta, Indonesia. At the time, she lost her bronze medal match against Risako Kawai of Japan but she was awarded the bronze medal after the original gold medal winner, Pürevdorjiin Orkhon of Mongolia, was stripped of her medal after testing positive for a banned substance. In 2019, she won the gold medal in the women's 62kg event at the Southeast Asian Games held in the Philippines.
