2018 Tour Of Flanders For Women
The 2018 Tour of Flanders for Women was the 15th running of the Tour of Flanders for Women, a women's bicycle race in Belgium. It was held on 1 April 2018, as the fifth race of the 2018 UCI Women's World Tour. Anna van der Breggen won the race with an attack just after the Kruisberg, at 27 km from the finish. Amy Pieters won the sprint for second place, at more than a minute from van der Breggen. Annemiek van Vleuten rounded out the entirely Dutch podium. Teams Twenty-four teams participated in the race. 2018 UCI Women's World Tour
The 2018 UCI Women's World Tour was a competition that included twenty-four road bicycle racing, road cycling events throughout the 2018 in women's road cycling, 2018 women's cycling season. It was the third edition of the ranking system launched by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) in 2016. The competition began with 2018 Strade Bianche Women, Strade Bianche on 3 March and concluded with the Tour of Guangxi on 21 October. Anna van der Breggen of the Netherlands was the defending champion. Van der Breggen, riding for the team, was unable to defend her title, as she finished third in the standings behind compatriots Annemiek van Vleuten () and Marianne Vos, who was riding for the squad. Chloe Hosking (born 1 October 1990) is an Australian professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . Hosking has represented Australia at junior and then senior levels since 2007. Following success in a number of international events she turned professional in 2010. Jolien D'hoore (born 14 March 1990) is a Belgian former track and road cyclist, who rode professionally between 2007 and 2021 for the , , , and teams. D'hoore is a 29-time national track champion as well as a four-time national road champion at all competition levels. She won the bronze medal in the omnium at the 2016 Olympics and during her career was one of the strongest sprinters in the women's peloton. Katarzyna "Kasia" Niewiadoma (born 29 September 1994) is a Polish racing cyclist, who rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam .
