2018 Stanford Cardinal Men's Soccer Team
The 2018 Stanford Cardinal men's soccer team will represent Stanford University during the 2018 NCAA Division I men's soccer season. The Cardinal enter the season as the three-time defending national champions. This is the first team season since 1994 that a program enters the season as a three-time defending champion. In 1994, the Virginia Cavaliers men's soccer program entered the season as three-time defending national champions, where they would go on to win an unprecedented fourth-consecutive title. Jeremy Gunn
Jeremy Gunn is an English retired association football midfielder who is the head men's soccer coach at Stanford University. He played professionally in the USISL. Player Gunn played in both the Grimsby Town F.C. and Scunthorpe United F.C. youth systems in his native England before coming to the United States. He attended Cal State Bakersfield where he was a 1992 First Team NCAA Division II All American soccer player. In 1993, he joined the Chico Rooks of the USISL. In 1998, he moved to the Nashville Metros. On 29 May 1998, the Metros traded Gunn to the Charleston Battery for John Jones and a 1999 draft pick. Corey Jacob Baird (born January 30, 1996) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a winger for Major League Soccer club Houston Dynamo. Bryce Marion (born February 13, 1996) is an American soccer player. Career Youth and college Marion played four years of college soccer at Stanford University between 2014 and 2017. While with the Cardinal, Marion made 55 appearances, scoring one goal and tallying nine assists. Marion also played for Premier Development League side San Francisco City in 2016 and 2017. The 2018 MLS SuperDraft was the nineteenth SuperDraft conducted by Major League Soccer. As customary, the SuperDraft was held in conjunction with the annual United Soccer Coaches convention. Matthews, North Carolina
Matthews is a town in southeastern Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, United States. It is a suburb of Charlotte. The population was 27,198 according to the 2010 Census.
