The 2018 Spielberg GP3 Series round was the third round of the 2018 GP3 Series. It was held on 30 June and 1 July 2018 at Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria. The race supported the 2018 Austrian Grand Prix. Red Bull Ring
The Red Bull Ring is a motorsport race track in Spielberg, Styria, Austria. The race circuit was founded as Österreichring (translation: Austrian Circuit) and hosted the Austrian Grand Prix for 18 consecutive years, from to . It was later shortened, rebuilt and renamed the A1-Ring (A Eins-Ring), and it hosted the Austrian Grand Prix again from to . When Formula One outgrew the circuit, a plan was drawn up to extend the layout. Parts of the circuit, including the pits and main grandstand, were demolished, but construction work was stopped and the circuit remained unusable for several years before it was purchased by Red Bull's Dietrich Mateschitz and rebuilt. Gabriel "Gabi" Aubry (born 3 April 1998) is a French racing driver currently racing in the World Endurance Championship for Vector Sport. Career Karting Born in Saint Germain-en-Laye, Aubry began karting in 2008 at the age of eleven, partaking in events across Europe. One of his karting achievements was the third place in the KFJ class of the Andrea Margutti Trophy, when he finished ahead of such drivers as Jehan Daruvala and Lando Norris. Devlin DeFrancesco (born January 17, 2000, Toronto, ON) is a Canadians, Canadian-Italians, Italian auto racing driver currently competing in the IndyCar Series for Andretti Autosport, Andretti Steinbrenner Autosport. Anthoine Hubert (; 22 September 1996 – 31 August 2019) was a French professional racing driver. He was the 2018 GP3 Series champion and a member of the Renault Sport Academy. He died at the age of 22, following an accident during the feature race of the 2019 Spa-Francorchamps Formula 2 round at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. Niko Kari (born 6 October 1999) is a Finnish racing driver who last raced in the FIA Formula 3 Championship with Jenzer Motorsport. He won his first single-seater championship, the 2015 SMP F4 Championship, in his debut year in car racing and is a former member of the Red Bull Junior Team.
