2018 PBA D-League Aspirant's Cup
The 2018 PBA D-League Aspirants Cup was the first conference of the 2017-18 PBA Developmental League season. It was opened on January 18, 2018 at the Ynares Sports Arena and competed by 13 teams and it was finished on May 1, 2018 where the Zark's Burger - LPU defeated the Che'Lu Bar & Grill in the best-of-3 finals showdown, 2 games to 1 and clinching their first ever title in their franchise. Tournament Format * Ten teams will play in a single round-robin elimination phase. * Only the top six teams will only make it to the playoffs after the elimination round. * #1 & #2 seeds will head straight to the semifinals, where #3-#6 seeds will undergo in the quarterfinals. * The Semifinals and the Championship will both be contested in a best-of-3 series. Aksyon TV () was a Philippine free-to-air television network. It was a joint venture of Nation Broadcasting Corporation and TV5 Network, Inc. PBA Developmental League
The PBA Developmental League, or PBA D-League, is the Philippine Basketball Association's official minor league basketball organization. History The PBA D-League was conceptualized after the collapse of the proposed merger between the Philippine Basketball League (PBL) and Liga Pilipinas after the staging of the ''Tournament of the Philippines'' which was composed by PBL and Liga Pilipinas teams. PBA Commissioner Chito Salud proposed the formation of a PBA D-League, which will fill the void left by the PBL. On January 25, 2011, the PBA Board of Governors approved the proposal. Ynares Sports Arena
The Ynares Sports Arena is an indoor arena located in Pasig, Philippines. The stadium has hosted the basketball games of the Philippine Basketball Association, Philippine Basketball League, and Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League, as well as college basketball tournaments. The arena was built in the former location of Rizal's provincial capitol. It was the primary home venue of the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) teams Philippine Patriots and the San Miguel Beermen. Adamson Soaring Falcons
The Adamson Soaring Falcons are the collegiate men's varsity teams of Adamson University that play in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines which is the mother sports league of the ''Falcons''. The collegiate women's varsity teams are called the ''Lady Falcons'' while the high school varsity teams are called the ''Baby Falcons'' and ''Lady Baby Falcons''. Go For Gold is a sport sponsorship program of the Powerball Marketing and Logistics Corp. supporting Filipino athletes and teams competing in various sports. It organizes the Go for Gold Philippines UCI Continental road cycling team. It has supported athletes in other sports such as triathlon, sepak takraw, dragonboat and skateboarding. The Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) Generals are the varsity teams of Emilio Aguinaldo College of Paco, Manila. The Immaculate Conception Academy (ICA) is paired as the junior (high school) varsity team of the Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC). The EAC-ICA Brigadiers is the junior team of EAC Generals. The JRU Heavy Bombers (also as José Rizal University Heavy Bombers) are the National Collegiate Athletic Association basketball team of the Jose Rizal University. The other senior varsity teams may also be referred to as the Heavy Bombers. The juniors team are the JRU Light Bombers. And also became current team in the PBA Developmental League. AMA Online Education Titans
The AMA Online Education Titans are a professional basketball team that play in the Filbasket. They are primarily base of varsity students from the AMA Computer University. History The AMA Computer University wanted to participate in college leagues such as the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) but can't manage to gain membership due to these league being established already. The school's basketball team briefly participated in the now defunct Philippine Basketball League and later entered the PBA Developmental League (PBA D-League) in 2014 as the AMA Online Education Titans.
