2018 NC State Wolfpack Men's Soccer Team
The 2018 NC State Wolfpack men's soccer team represented North Carolina State University during the 2018 NCAA Division I men's soccer season. The Wolfpack were led by head coach George Kiefer (soccer), George Kiefer, in his second season. They played home games at Dail Soccer Field. NC State finished the season with a 10–7–3 (2–4–2) record and earned a berth into the 2018 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship, NCAA Tournament, where they lost to Maryland in the second round. Background The 2017 NC State men's soccer team finished the season with an 8–6–4 overall record and a 3–3–2 ACC record. The Wolfpack were seeded eight–overall in the 2017 ACC Men's Soccer Tournament, where they lost to 2017 Virginia Tech Hokies men's soccer team, Virginia Tech in the first round. George Kiefer (soccer)
George Kiefer (born October 11, 1971) is a former college and professional soccer player and current college soccer coach, now leading the Grand Canyon Antelopes men's soccer team after being named head coach in 2023. Previously, Kiefer was the head coach at South Florida Bulls men's soccer, South Florida for 15 seasons and NC State Wolfpack men's soccer, NC State for seven seasons. As a head coach, Kiefer has led his teams to 13 NCAA Division I men's soccer tournament, NCAA tournaments. Playing career Kiefer played four years of college soccer under legendary coach Ray Reid at Southern Connecticut Owls, Southern Connecticut from 1990 to 1993. He appeared in 48 career games, scoring eight goals and assisting on 12 more for 28 points. While a member of the Owls program, Kiefer's teams went 74–8–8 (.867) and claimed two NCAA Division II men's soccer tournament, NCAA Division II national championships. Holtsville, New York
Holtsville is a hamlet and census-designated place (CDP) in Suffolk County, on Long Island, in New York, United States. The population was 19,714 at the 2010 census. David Loera
David Loera (born September 10, 1998) is a professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder for USL League One side Lexington SC. Born in Spain, he has represented the United States at youth level. Career Early career As a youth, Loera played with the Orlando City Development Academy team. In July 2016, Loera made his Orlando City B debut in USL, coming on as a 54th minute substitute against Louisville City, the first player to appear for Orlando's USL affiliate while still in the academy. Emanuel Perez (born February 19, 1999) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a defender for Danish 1st Division club AC Horsens. College career Perez played two years of college soccer at North Carolina State University between 2017 and 2018, making a total of 29 appearances for NCSU, scoring 6 goals and tallying 9 assists. North Carolina FC Youth (NCFC Youth) is an American soccer club and eponymous league based in Raleigh, North Carolina and serving greater Research Triangle.
