2018 Men's European Water Polo Championship
The 2018 Men's European Water Polo Championship was held in Barcelona, Spain from 16 to 28 July 2018. Serbia won their fourth consecutive and eighth overall title by defeating Spain in the final. Qualification Sixteen teams will be allowed to the tournament. The qualification is as follows: * The host nation * The best seven teams from the 2016 European Championships not already qualified as the host nation * Eight teams from the qualifiers Format The sixteen teams were split in four groups with four teams each. The first classified team of each group qualified directly for the quarterfinals, the second and third teams played each other in cross group format to qualify for the quarterfinals. Felipe Perrone
Felipe Perrone Rocha (born 27 February 1986 in Rio de Janeiro) is a Spanish-Brazilian water polo player. He competed for Spain from 2003 until 2013, including in the 2008 Summer Olympics and 2012 Summer Olympics. Afterwards he competed for his birth country in the 2016 Summer Olympics, as Brazil earned its first qualifying spot in 32 years as hosts. He helped Spanish water polo club CN Atlètic-Barceloneta win the LEN Champions League in 2013–14 season. His brother Ricardo Perrone also competed for Spain in water polo. Stevie Camilleri is a Maltese water polo player for Roma Nuoto. Camilleri has been playing regularly with the Neptunes WPSC first team since he was 15 years old.
