2018 Havering London Borough Council Election
The 2018 Havering London Borough Council election was held on 3 May 2018 to elect members of Havering London Borough Council in Greater London. Elections were held for all 54 seats on the council. This was on the same day as other local elections. Summary of results The Conservative Party gained three seats, increasing its number of councillors to 25. It consolidated its position as the largest group on the council, but did not gain overall control. Havering Residents Association lost two seats, reducing its number of councillors to 17. However, it remained the second largest party on the council. Of its 17 councillors, eight represent Hornchurch Residents' Association, six Upminster and Cranham Residents' Association and three Harold Wood Hill Park Residents Association. 2014 Havering London Borough Council Election
The 2014 Havering Council election took place on 22 May 2014 to elect members of Havering Council in England. This was on the same day as other local elections. The Conservative Party ceased to have a majority of councillors, putting the council in no overall control (NOC). Despite the various residents associations winning the most seats, an agreement was not struck and a Conservative Party minority administration was formed. 2018 United Kingdom Local Elections
Council elections in England were held on Thursday 3 May 2018. Elections were held in all 32 London boroughs, 34 metropolitan boroughs, 67 district and borough councils and 17 unitary authorities. There were also direct elections for the mayoralties of Hackney, Lewisham, Newham, Tower Hamlets and Watford. With the exception of those areas that have had boundary changes, the seats up for election were last contested in the 2014 local elections. Keith Darvill
Keith Ernest Darvill (born 28 May 1948) is a Labour Party (UK), Labour politician in the United Kingdom. He is a councillor in the London Borough of Havering. Darvill started his working life in the Port of London Authority as a dock messenger and was active in the Transport and General Workers Union. He was educated Norlington School in the London Borough of Waltham Forest, in East London and at the Polytechnic of Central London school of Law after which he worked as a solicitor. UK Independence Party
The UK Independence Party (UKIP; ) is a Eurosceptic, right-wing populist political party in the United Kingdom. The party reached its greatest level of success in the mid-2010s, when it gained two members of Parliament and was the largest party representing the UK in the European Parliament.
