2018 FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup Series
The 2018 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup, FIG World Cup circuit in Rhythmic Gymnastics is a series of competitions officially organized and promoted by the International Gymnastics Federation. With stopovers in Europe and Asia, the World Cup competitions are scheduled for March 30–April 1 in Sofia (BUL), April 13-15 in Pesaro (ITA), April 20–22 in Tashkent (UZB), April 27–29 in Baku (AZE). World Challenge Cup competitions are scheduled for May 4-6 in Guadalajara (ESP), May 11–13 in Portimão (POR), August 17–19 in Minsk (BLR), and August 24–26 in Kazan (RUS). Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup
The Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup is a competition for rhythmic gymnastics sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG). It is one of the few tournaments in rhythmic gymnastics officially organized by FIG, as well as the World Championships (including the Junior World Championships), the gymnastics competitions at the Olympic Games and the Youth Olympics, and the rhythmic gymnastics events at the World Games. The World Cup series should not be confused with the Rhythmic Gymnastics Grand Prix series, which is neither officially organized nor promoted by FIG. History In 1983, FIG decided to hold a World Cup event in rhythmic gymnastics. The event was staged as an alternative to the World Championships, a tournament held, at the time, every four years. Vlada Nikolchenko
Vlada Ihorivna Nikolchenko ( uk, Влада Ігорівна Нікольченко; born 9 December 2002) is a retired Ukrainian individual rhythmic gymnast. She is the 2019 Worlds clubs bronze medalist, the double (2018-19) World Cup Series winner with clubs and the Grand Prix Final 2018 Winner. She has won multiple medals at European Championships and European Games. Career Junior Before beginning rhythmic gymnastics, Nikolchenko participated in Aesthetic Group Gymnastics. She was part of the junior Ukrainian group at the 2017 European Championships, where they finished 8th in the 10 clubs final. Neviana Stanimirova Vladinova ( bg, Невяна Станимирова Владинова, born 23 February 1994) is a retired Bulgarian individual rhythmic gymnast. She is the 2017 World bronze medalist with ball, and was seventh in the all-around at the Rio 2016 Olympics. Career Career beginnings Born in Pleven, Bulgaria, Vladinova began competitive gymnastics in 2000. She appeared in international junior competitions in 2006 and began competing as a senior in 2011 season. In 2013, Vladinova competed at the World Cup series and Grand Prix series. Alessia Russo (born 24 September 1996 in Figline Valdarno, Italy) is an Italian individual rhythmic gymnast. She is the 2019 Summer Universiade Ribbon silver medalist. Sabina Tashkenbaeva (born 27 November 2000 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan) is an Uzbekistani rhythmic gymnast. She is the 2019 Asian Championships all-around gold medalist. Milena Baldassarri
Milena Baldassarri (born 16 October 2001 in Ravenna, Italy) is an Italian individual rhythmic gymnast. She won the silver medal at the World Championship at the 2018 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, in Individual all around. Baldassarri was already a bronze medalist at the 2016 European Junior Championships. Kaho Minagawa
Kaho Minagawa ( ja, 皆川夏穂; born 20 August 1997) is a retired Japanese individual rhythmic gymnast. She is the 2017 Asian Championships All-around silver medalist. She trained in Novogorsk in Moscow, Russia. She is the first Japanese individual rhythmic gymnast to win a medal at the World Cup series. Nicol Zelikman ( he, ניקול זליקמן; born January 30, 2001) is a former Israeli individual rhythmic gymnast. She is a two-time medalist at the 2016 European Junior Championships. Early life Zelikman was born and raised in Kfar Saba, Israel. Her grandparents, father, and mother were born in Baku, Soviet Azerbaijan. They had lived there, met and married; and in 1993 they moved to Russia, and then immigrated to Israel. She has a twin brother and two older brothers.
