2018 FIBA Under-16 European Championship
The 2018 FIBA U16 European Championship was the 32nd edition of the Under-16 European Basketball Championship. The competition took place from 10 to 18 August 2018 in Novi Sad, Serbia. Sixteen (16) teams are participating, including 2017 Division B top three finishers. The defending champions were France. Alperen Şengün (; born 25 July 2002) is a Turkish professional basketball player for the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He also represents the senior Turkish national team. Known for his footwork and playmaking ability, he was selected as the 16th pick in the first round of the 2021 NBA draft. He was named to his first NBA All-Star Game in 2025. Early life and youth career Şengün was born in Giresun, northeast Turkey, on 25 July 2002. Boris Tišma (born 20 February 2002) is a Croatian professional basketball player for Split of the Croatian League and ABA League Early life and youth career Tišma grew up playing basketball for Croatian club Dubrava. In 2015, he signed with Real Madrid in Spain and joined its youth academy. He chose Real Madrid over offers from many other clubs, including Cedevita. SPC Vojvodina ( sr-cyr, СПЦ Војводина), short for Sports and Business Center Vojvodina (), commonly referred to as SPENS ( sr-cyr, СПЕНС), is a multi-purpose venue located in Novi Sad, Vojvodina, Serbia.
