2018 FC Tobol Season
The 2018 FC Tobol season is the 20th successive season that the club playing in the Kazakhstan Premier League, the highest tier of association football in Kazakhstan. Tobol will also play in the Kazakhstan Cup. After finishing the previous season in third position, Ordabasy would have qualified for the Europa League first qualifying round but they failed to obtain a UEFA licence, meaning that Tobol qualified in their place. Season events Prior to the start of the season, Vladimir Nikitenko was appointed as the club's manager following the expiration of Robert Yevdokimov's contract. On 1 August, Vladimir Nikitenko resigned as manager after Tobol were eliminated from the Europa League. Andrei Miroshnichenko was appointed as Caretaker manager before Marek Zub was announced as Tobol's new manager on 6 August 2018. FC Tobol
FC Tobol ( kk, Тобыл футбол клубы, Tobyl Futbol Kluby) is a Kazakh professional football club based at the Central Stadium in Kostanay. They have been members of the Kazakhstan Premier League since its foundation in 1992. They won the Kazakhstan Premier League in 2010, and finished no lower than fourth place between the 2002 and 2010 seasons. In 2021 they won the title for the second time. History Following a surprise defeat to Kyzylzhar in the 2016 Kazakhstan Cup, manager Dmitriy Ogai left the club by mutual consent, with Oleg Lotov being appointed as interim manager on 30 April 2016. Robert Yevdokimov
Robert Gennadyevich Yevdokimov (russian: Роберт Геннадьевич Евдокимов; born 27 February 1970) is a Russian professional football coach and a former player. He is an assistant coach with FC Akhmat Grozny. Playing career As a player, he made his debut in the Soviet Second League in 1987 for FC Turbina Brezhnev. He played 6 games and scored 1 goal in the UEFA Intertoto Cup 1996 for FC KAMAZ Naberezhnye Chelny. He won a Bronze medal representing Russia at the 1995 Summer Universiade. Jaba Kankava ( ka, ჯაბა კანკავა, tr, ; born 18 March 1986) is a Georgian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Slovan Bratislava.
