The 2018 European Marathon Cup was the 11th edition of the European Marathon Cup of athletics and were held in Berlin, Germany on 12 August, inside of the 2018 European Championships. The total time is calculated on the sum of the times of the first three athletes arrived at the finish line, but the medals are awarded to all the athletes who have concluded the race. European Marathon Cup
The European Marathon Cup is a quadrennial team marathon competition between European countries. Initially a stand-alone championship race inaugurated in 1981 European Marathon Cup, 1981, the race has been held in conjunction with the European Athletics Championships since 1994. Individual medallists are now included in the European Championships medal table, while team medals are awarded separately from the main championships. Each national team may enter six runner and the team score is the sum of the times of the team's three fastest finishers. The IAAF World Marathon Cup (first held in 1985 European Marathon Cup, 1985) follows a similar format. Volha Siarheyeuna Mazuronak ( be, Вольга Сяргееўна Мазуронак; born 14 April 1989) is a Belarusian long-distance runner and former racewalker. She is a three-time national champion. Mazuronak has a marathon best of 2:23:54 and finished fourth at the London Marathon in 2016. She has won marathons in Siberia and California and was a silver medalist on the track at the 2015 Military World Games. Career Her international debut came in distance running and she placed in the top 100 at the 2005 IAAF World Cross Country Championships junior race.
